Something a bit different guys.
The chat about Flo got me thinking yesterday, what stories do we have of the ones who got away?
Mentioned before I remember a rumour the original Ronaldo was offered 100k a week by us and could choose what games to play except old firm and champions League.
Also had heard before, we were in for Shevchenko when he left Kiev but David Murray didn't want to pay the fee because he was unproven in Champions League at that stage.
Anyone else got any old school rumours?

We offered to pay him a fortune KJ and he could pick and choose the games he wanted to play in. Don't know how much truth was in this, but I'm sure I read something about it in one of the rags.

Robbie Fowler was almost a rangers player just before he went to Leeds for £13m, we ended up with flo instead a few weeks later.

There was talk of a world record at the time bid of 19 million from us for brazillian Ronaldo! Never believed it till I saw an interview on gazzetta on channel 4 with the wee shaved head guy cannot remember his name! But aye they discussed it and it was real!

SGL it was when he was leaving Barcelona 100% the only playing in champs league was reported but in my opinion bs you ain’t gona sign a player for 20million just to play in Europe.

Might have been linked both times then Coop mate, had a wee Google on my lunch break and his agent quoted it was when he left Barcelona and that was the three teams it was between. Inter had scouted him since his days in South America and won the day.

I seen someone write about jardel how we never signed him, am pretty sure it was something to do with work permit. That deal was almost completed shame he was done player at Porto.
