Wee question fellow bears. Big Katic do we think that when he returns, we will get him fit and play him some preseason friendlies then try to sell him or loan him out. Esp with the arrival of simpson.
I like big Katic but sadly I think that our club are now looking to a higher level than him.
Jury still out on Simpson for me as not seen enough of him to judge, but SG did say that he only want four CHs. Goldson, helander, baligon and simpson.
Edminson to Derby I recon.

Wish the big guy well but take the money and run! At this moment in time the money saved would be well spent negotiating an extension to Goldson's contract. IMHO the guy has been a Colossus this year and has provided the foundations for number 55. I appreciate the work Tav has did in terms of goals and assists and the performances from the midfield but this has only been possible as they have someone they can rely on to be solid at the back. The number of important goals Goldson has scored, particularly in the first Old Firm match has cemented this years title!

I like katic a lot but not at sqme standard as goldson helander and balogun. Very rash, erratic and terrible positioning. But has youth on his side to improve. If he stays think he may need to go on loan to improve.

Big Katic is a work in progress, but whether that will continue at Rangers, I'm not too sure. Unfortunately, since he has been injured our defenders have moved onto a different level, and now we have Simpson, it looks a long way back for him. Unless we sell anyone, I don't see him hanging around as a 5th choice defender. For his own sake, and to make sure his career doesn't stall, a move away might be the best option. Whether that's a permanent move, or a loan, we'll just need to wait and see.

Balagon not got a new deal yet, so no idea what the thinking is. Remember katic is only 24 as well so got a lot more years on big leon. I like both tbh and think katic is up there on terms of ability with the others.

I like Balogun but he's not a regular starter for me. Him and Katic are probably at about the same level for me just now with Katic having more upside and potential. It might be wise to give Balogun another year and send Katic out on loan for that year to give him the football he needs to get back to his best.

Katic will go out on loan to get first team action.
Last year he was raw, erratic and his positional sense was poor. That will not have improved in a year out.
Plus the team has evolved and he's currently about 5th choice - can't see that changing next year.
But I like him as I class him as one of our own. Plus he scored a bullet header against the Tims.
He's also been working hard in the gym. Fingers crossed he can get back to a decent level.

Katic is still young and has great attributes to be a good CH wouldn’t sell him but if he ain’t going to play much next season I would get him out on loan to get game time.
It would be rather silly to sell IMO.

Think Katic will go out on loan next season to rehabilitate and get his game back before returning to Ibrox. Will be interesting to see how Edmundson develops over next couple of months at Derby.

Katie on loan to rebuild fitness and sharpness. Balogun new contract for 1 year and Edmundson back next season assuming that he has made peace with SG.

John, no player with significant transfer value should be allowed to move into final year of contract. If Tav stalling on extension and we receive large bid in the summer should accept.
