Not getting this sudden clamor for McGregor to be our POTY.
No doubt that he is an important player but making saves is what he is paid for.
He's made a few errors this season and had made a few fantastic saves but the majority of saves we would expect him to make (if he didn't he would not be our No1).
No doubt he has passion for the team and a will to win but he does not have the same influence on our season as Tav.
Tav's stats are incredible - goals scored, assists, miles covered and until now he has barely missed a minute of our last few seasons.
POTY for me is Tav without a doubt.

DK19,It was always between tav and davis for me, as to who was POTY! My choice is davo just, in front of tav🤔 You're spot on that although tav is injured ATM, he's very rarely injured and the guy is an athlete 👌
Morelos is the exact same, as he's never injured and is a fit, strong guy ðŸ‘It takes a lot/ bad injury for either tav or alfredo to miss games!
Alfredo does miss games through suspensions right enough.

McGregor has saved things this year that he should never be getting to amazing season. But no sure about POTY. Tav probably but wee davis been superb too kamara lots of good players.

So if mcgregor shouldn't be poty because he's getting paid to make saves, then no one should get it either as they are getting paid to score goals, set goals up, stop opposition from scoring goals. Tav was very consistent up till Xmas but since then he's been average, greegs, goldson, airfield, have been consistent all way through campaign. In my opinion they are more deserving of poty. But they are getting paid for what they are asked to do so might not get it.

Tav will get POTY, you cannot ignore his stats. A right back who has that many goals and assists is just ludicrous. Add that into the fact that he's part of the best defence in the country, he's had an incredible season stats wise. His defending has improved, he is by no means perfect but the mistakes are few and far between this season.
Take stats out of the equation, performance wise I'd say Steven Davis has easily been the most consistent player for us, he's rarely been anything short of tremendous in every single game he's played in.
Lets be honest, when this is wrapped up they will go down in history as club legends, the men that stopped that mob getting 10IAR. Probably one of, if not the most important season any of us would have wanted to win. Infuriates me when people slag off this one and that one, every single one of them have spared us a lifetime of pelters.

Don't agree with this at all, look at the difference when Fraser Foster was in goal for celtic to the goalkeepers now. If Shagger doesn't sign a new contract we will see the same fate.

The full team have played their part in this title win.
Players can underperform at times and get the rightful criticism they deserve. Before redeeming themselves the following week and getting all the plaudits.
Some have continually played to a high standard more than others.
The only issue is that most POTY are on votes and these might be split between a few high performing Rangers players.
From a Rangers perspective I would have no qualms about any of Tav, Goldson, McGregor and Davis.
Personally I would go Davis. He makes that midfield tick along, dictating the tempo and some of his through balls in recent weeks have been exceptional.
