I think leaving Kent on the bench tonight was a masterstroke by Gerrard. His introduction totally confused the formation and tactics of the Belgians, who seemed quite content to sit in with a bank of five and a bank of four having took the lead. It may have also given Kent himself something to think about. With Roofe out and Arfield not up to pace yet I think there is mileage in starting Wright on Sunday, which in my eyes is more important than tonight!

Now that I've slept on it and up early for work just a quick short post Antwerp were no better than Hibs and we still leaked 3 stupid goals infact i'd go as far n say Hibs are a better team than Antwerp we need to sort out our defence for this cruicial part of the season also gutted Tavs out hope at this time.

Ryan Kent showed last night how good he can be and was superb when he came on ðŸ‘My MOTM was buff without a shadow of a doubt! He gave their defence a hellish time of it and although didn't get on the scoresheet, but would have, but for their defender pulling his shirt, to stop him scoring the header, he was immense all round 👌 That shows everyone what morelos brings to our team and is our best all round central striker at ibrox! We'll miss him badly when he goes and of course he'll be extremely difficult to replace 🤔 Morelos had 3 assists in the game last night and his link up and hold up play was immense 👌We all know and get frustrated with alfredo's temperament/ indiscipline but when he's in this form/ mood the guy is unplayable 👌.

I can't believe what I'm reading at times, we beat a good team tonight, to compare them to Hibs, it's an opinion, but, at this level there are no bad teams. I thought Balogun was terrific in the right back roll and his distribution and crossing was spot on and Ryan Kent, wow, what a player, unstoppable on his form last night.
I'm very happy with everything from last night, we've been great defensively this season, and that will continue again on Sunday hopefully.

SGL you are 100% correct on Alfredo he was class and the team was wrong to start with arfield didn’t look fit and don’t think he passed to Rangers player in 1st half roofe also didn’t look fit either. Kent well that’s the boy we need more of when he is in that kind of mood.
Most rangers fans get annoyed with kent because of consistency.
The 3 pens for me were very soft pens tho we should have had one in 1st half for hand ball.

DS they are 100 times better than hibs embarrassing post they would destroy hibs they beat Spurs at home in the group stage and nearly topped the group. They also had a few players out last night.

Kent would have started if 100% fit, game was crying out for some pace in behind. Roofe and Arfield both looked off the pace but probably to be expected having both missed games recently. even before he got injured i thought Roofe looked a bit off it. Morelos, Barisic and Kamara really stand out for me at this level, obviously Borna has lost his man for the 1st goal but going forward he was a threat on the left all night. Morelos was outstanding, a constant nuisance all night and had a hand in all the goals. His finishing sometimes let's him down but what a shift he puts in for the team.

Got to agree with the schoolboy defending comments, however to suggest that a last 32 of the europa league club is poorer opposition than hibs, I disagree with. Antwerp would beat any team in our league, apart from us! 😀

Celtic would get humped 5-0 by antwerp so have to agree with DK19. DS rangers are the only scottish team tht has performed in europe for scottish teams last few yrs and antwerp beat Tottenham and were unlucky not to win their group. definitely living in la la land so he is DK19.
