The last incident with Jones and Edmundson happened on the Sunday night with Rangers breaking the story on the Monday at lunchtime informing everyone of their indiscretion and that they had already been suspended, placed in isolation pending an investigation.
This time the alleged incident happened on the Saturday night and here we are Tuesday afternoon with no definitive knowledge of the players involved.
We can look at it 2 ways:-
The quantity of players allegedly involved takes a longer internal investigation.
There is more to the story than meets the eye from a positive / negative position.

Rangers said in their statement that there would be no further comment so hence why no word from the club on this matter.

The way it’s looking there will be no further news. Looks like the club has decided to keep everything totally clamped down in regards to whatever went on. Not sure of the thinking here in regards to this. Could be they are sick of the ‘trail by media’ approach that seems to go with everything Rangers related right now, so instead of coming out and declaring / admitting openly everything that has happened and who it involved it looks like they are trying to ‘get away with’ dealing with it internally. ie, if there is no formal and definitive admission of guilt and declaration of who may of been involved and to what they were or weren’t actually involved in, then how can the SPFL or anyone else deliver any punishments?
Maybe they’ve looked at the fact that StMirren and Kilmarnock were let off for their breaches, Celtic weren’t pulled up for any of the ‘protocol breaches’ they openly admitted to on their Dubai trip however we were hit with 7 game bans for Jones and Edmundson (not that I’m saying their punishment was wrong by the way) . Maybe we’ve just looked at everything and thought, last time we openly admitted everything and got hammered whilst other teams have had lesser punishments ie, just games moved or suspended fines. So this time let’s just keep it to ourselves as much as possible, rather than opening ourselves up to ‘trail by media’ which would probably result in heavier punishments than anyone else has had.
Again I’m not saying I think this is the right way for us to do it, it just looks like this is what’s happening.

Rangers will most definitely know who is involved, and, where no news is good news, it isn't always the case. I would be amazed (if any player was involved), that they would be allowed near training for the match on Thursday, I really hope there's nothing in this, but I am puzzled as why no statement has been made this late in the day when our total focus has to be on Thursday night game.

to both of the posts above, silence is golden and no news is good news, let all the other bampots in the media and social media try to wriggle a bit of information from their alleged sources, when the club make a statement then we will know for sure, till then let's look forward to the upcoming matches anward to 55.

Official Club Statement on Sunday said no further comment would be made on the matter. The Scottish media and many on here are anxiously waiting in vain.
