Was talking/ debating last night with pals of mine through our phones of course and we were like a good few of us, talking about how good davis still is and was in his performance against kilmarnock yesterday.
Who could be his long-term replacement at rangers. We also got talking about his career in england and all 5 of us thought that steven davis at his peak, had the ability to play for one of the really top english clubs no bother at all 👠What do you guys think on here 🤔Do you reckon davis at his peak,
could have played for a liverpool, man utd,
chelsea, arsenal etc🤔 Should be a good debate amongst us, on everyone's different opinions ðŸ‘.

SGL my take on a possible reason as to why he is as good now as he ever has been. In a way of explaining this, I had to finish playing long before I wanted to. Davis on the other hand might be thinking that he has managed to last this long and as a result he is very grateful, and is playing as though his next game could be his last, and getting maximum enjoyment out of still playing and is so relaxed as a result.
McGregor could be having the same thoughts.

I think Davis could/ should of played for Chelsea, perhaps in the Willian role but that said I wish he had stayed and captained us back and I know that wasn't ever an option but what a story that would have been and what a (more of a) legend he would have been.

You say absolutely john25 so you're pretty convinced, did you see him first time round?
He is actually playing at a higher level right now in the Europa league and I think he is one of the best players that I have watched thus far.

Coops davo wasn’t good enough to play for those teams IMO mate. He found his level at Southampton where he had a few til performances against top sides but perhaps just a tad short of that bit extra to make it in their sides. Worse players than davo have played for said sides though so could’ve held his own. But wouldn’t have excelled and likely lost his place.

Tugay was best midfielder I’ve seen at Ibrox No one in current team comes close to him, although I think Davis, Jack and Kamara are all doing great jobs for us now.

Bankie tugay maybe similar in that way to kamara. Unreal talent but can't get regular start. Actually think tugay played some of his best stuff for us as sweeper.

Tugay was some midfielder bankie i agree, but wasn't the best midfielder i've seen at ibrox! Tugay was very unfortunate at rangers as he couldn't get a regular game for us, which shows the midfield talent we had at that time. In saying that i personally would have had tugay in my rangers midfield as i thought he was pure quality 👌.
