If/ when we win the league title no.55 this season, steven gerrard will have completed the journey, from the ashes in 2012 to the top/ pinnacle of scottish football again, to where we belong as league champions🙏🇬🇧
Only when we win the league will our journey back, be complete and i hope C.V. willing, we can all celebrate like never before, as this arguably is the sweetest title of them all🤔
Steven Gerrard take a bow son and in the rangers archives forever, not to mention in our hearts forever! Dave king, john gilligan, paul murray, the three bears and all gerrard's management team and everyone who's contributed, to take our club back to the top,
i salute each one of you and will never forget the hard work and sacrafices you all made,
for the one love we all share, THE FAMOUS GLASGOW RANGERS 💓🇬🇧Also big praise for all our loyal supporters, who stood by our club in the dark times and continued following our team back to where we are today, we all deserve massive credit for this fellow bears 👏👏🇬🇧.

Well said Coops, hopefully not long to wait now. Everyone associated with the club has been professional and passionate.

23 Jan 2021 10:08:38
Superb post coop. Completely agree. 👍.

Excellent post SGL, so it poses the question.

Where does Steven Gerrard sit on the list of Greatest ever Ranger? Given what he inherited, the boardroom turmoil, the retail deal, the inferior playing squad, the gulf to Celtic, the pressure of 10 on a row, the pressure we the fans put on him, the goldfish bowl of Glasgow?

My opinion. he’s only second to Walter Smith.

1. Walter Smith
2. Steven Gerrard
3. Bill Struth.

What Steven has done to our club on the pitch is nothing short of a fairytale. An unproven manger who came in an set the absolute highest standards. SG once said he was obsessed with being the best, and you can see that in his methods today.
I agree about the level of support we have received at boardroom level and everyone associated with out club just now should go down in history as great Rangers!

No Herras fencing from our supporters at our club Steven G L.

Well said mate, but no celebrations or complacency till the fat lady sings eh.

23 Jan 2021 10:30:28
Coops well said Sir.

23 Jan 2021 10:36:42
Sorry love stevie g he may become a gers managerial legend in time but to put him above struth jock wallace etc not for me maybe in top 10 just now but never number 2 just because he stopped 10 in a row.

23 Jan 2021 10:43:22
I don't think there was turmoil in the boardroom blackthorn boy unless you mean the legal fights with Ashley?

I agree that he'll be up there with the greats purely because its the first title since the dark days and you are right everyone at the club will be legends forever👍.

23 Jan 2021 10:43:49
Blackthorn crazy comment considering we haven't yet won anything at all under gerrard.

23 Jan 2021 10:56:02
Fantastic post to start the day off SGL. Superb mate!
Also, a wee bit of class from our manager this morning backing the other Premiership teams C.V. protocols and not throwing them under the bus like you know who did.
Well done Steven Gerrard, once again showing others how it should be done.

Let’s see how far Stevie G can take us before comparing him to anybody. We shall do that when his time is up. He could end ul here for 10 years and do wonders in Europe and dominate domestically we just need to wait and see. Agreed he’s a perfectionist who demands nothing but 100% at all times. Sometimes he can’t get the perfect skills he wants because of the level we are at n it frustrates him.

23 Jan 2021 11:38:23
Done exceptionally well to put us in this position and every rangers supporter will remember this year for the rest of their lives because of these guys.
They cannot be thanked enough
The stage is now set for moving on and continuing the rebuild we cannot rest on this probable success and let them mount an effective challenge.

23 Jan 2021 11:42:41
Blackthorn not a chance sg can be constant legend he has won nothing.
He is way behind advocatt and even big Alex.
If he goes on to win two or three leagues. Many cups and European final he will have earned the levy status.

23 Jan 2021 11:48:42
I agree . Great post sgl. had to go and get the paper hankies there . An amazing thing . I think Stevie’s humility has rubbed off on us and has taught us something . Even by coops post he starts “if we win “ and not an arrogant when.
we have not heard one peep out the players either which is hugely refreshing and Stevie has them well warned .
We were far too complacent last year so it shows Stevie is well willing to learn and has.
I cringed last year when the big lad from Liverpool? Can’t mind his name now ( Oro or something ) came out and said we were a stick on to win the league because we had the best team in the land . That came back to bite us.

23 Jan 2021 12:09:23
I disagree John, I think if he wins 55 and because of the story behind the 55th title he'll be up there. In years to come, even generations after generations, the story of 55 will be told and the names of Gerrard, King etc etc will be legends of that story. I know what you mean when you say euro finals etc. But the story behind the 55th will be just as legendary as the story of the euro final in my opinion. 👍.

23 Jan 2021 12:26:52
Advocacy had money to burn, l and was up against extremely poor Celtic teams. I take your point about McLeish (I actually forgot about him) but again SG standards far outweigh that of Advocaat or McLeish.

Like Coldo said the story of this season will be remembered forever, winning 55 and everything that goes with it will be forever etched in memory.

23 Jan 2021 12:29:54
Kinda agree with coldo. Advocaat and mccleish had a core of players, Gerrard had to do a complete rebuild, that mob going for a tainted 10 and they won all domestic cups in last 4 years. And by knocking them off their perch he will be a legend.

23 Jan 2021 12:34:22
I think Gerrard is in a position to be one of our greatest managers, but as others have said, he hasn't won anything yet. One league title, especially this one, is a great marker, but he needs more silver before he in anywhere near the top 3. A double or treble next season on top of whatever is achieved this season is a must.

23 Jan 2021 12:58:44
Big eck got us to last 16 of champions league. Whisker away from last 8 on shoe string budget. So he's our 2nd best ever manager?

23 Jan 2021 13:02:17
I agree with most posts about Sg especially coming from some who wanted him sacked last March.
Totally agree Colin.

23 Jan 2021 13:17:04
I. N. T. R. he didn't just stop 10 in a row, he has made us a respected team throughout Europe and got us to where we are now from being a total shambles. All this in 3 seasons, fantastic achievement in my book.

23 Jan 2021 13:51:42
He could have walked last march John the way things were going and if we were in a healthier position financially the board might have got shot of him. No other manager before him would have had as much time👍 Anyway didn't you want rid of Tav last year John? 👍.

23 Jan 2021 14:53:19
Maybe after lifting about 10 or 12 trophies Gerrard can be mentioned in the same breath as Struth, the man who set all the standards of what it means to be a Ranger for everyone else to copy and follow.

23 Jan 2021 22:04:18
Yes I did want rid off tav based on his dreadful performance, however read what I say about him this year.
