Dont post much, l tend to input my Pearl's of wisdom on live chat.
Felt l had to ask thoughts on this Dubai holiday they are on. This morning l heard Professor Sir John Bell of Oxford University (involved in the Oxford vax development) say they were concerned about the South African strain and what if any effect it would have on the new vax. I only say this as there are still flights from South Africa to Dubai where they are partying oops training.

How does it make sense for them to be bevying etc in Dubai. I am not sure when they come back or how long from then to their next game but surely that's a major risk.

Let's hope that if there is the slightest risk from that stupidity the powers that be deal with it.
Or guys am l being too hard on the mob that everyone's against all the time?

Agree1 Disagree0

Can never be too hard on that arrogant club and it's squad / management etc Gger my friend.

A club who had no serious competition for about 7 years, awarded an unearned title now with a re-installed chancer of a manager who is being found out as I knew would happen when he came across clubs with similar finances and better skills.

(No proof and not an allegation), but in my opinion they were aided and abetted by a compliance officer and other celtic support on the relevant panels that gave unjustified decisions in their favour.

"NO" NEVER TOO HARD ON THEM, LET ALL SPFL CLUBS GIVE THEM WHAT THEY DESERVE.

In my opinion I can't see what all the fuss is about them going to Dubai. They will not be getting pished and partying like an 18-30 ibiza holiday they will be working and training and more importantly team bonding. They are in a team bubble and will probably have less chance catching c19 over there than back here because no contact with their partners or kids etc. Anyone who thinks they are there to party every day would be wrong. Yes they are probably allowed a few beers and relax by the pool but make no mistake they will be working hard and probably just what the doctor ordered in wake of recent form and events. What would you rather do to pick up team morale train in a freezing wet Glasgow or a nice sunny Dubai relaxing at the pool each day. I know where I would rather be if I was making the decision.

Gger, was wondering that myself. IF big IF mind, the lockdown puts UAE into a quarantine list, for the reasons you mention and the fact the rest of us can't leave the house? What happens to their games over next 2 weeks, ALL 3 0 defeats?

04 Jan 2021 16:51:39
3 cheers, they are hoping to come back to a freezing wet dismal Glasgow .

Bet they wished they had never went having to cope with the sublime to the ridiculous opposite weather conditions (and maybe work in it ha ha. )

Maybe they will have sunstroke an beer belly's as well ho ho.

Could not happen to a more deserving club and unlike you I will have no sympathy for them my friend.

Come to think about it maybe that's what happened to Rangers last season.

04 Jan 2021 16:53:09
Imagine that happened bar72 😂😂😂 that would be feckin hilarious man. There fans would be burning park head down 😂😂 and also to answer 3 cheers I totally agree mate who cares if there away to Dubai or not. They’re behaving within the parameters of the law and so everybody that isn’t a Celtic fan aught to chill out about it man. It doesn’t affect u me or our club.

04 Jan 2021 17:08:31
Folks, the Tier 4 lockdown rules forbid non-essential travel out with your own area unless it is totally necessary, this trip is in complete breach of the rules, unless I'm missing something?

04 Jan 2021 17:43:57
Irvger it excludes professional sportspeople if the reason they are travelling is related to work mate. Which in celtics case it is a warm weather training camp for fitness and recovery and team bonding. Clearly they’ve asked permission and had the ok or they wouldn’t have been aloud on the plane.

04 Jan 2021 17:44:24
UAE is currently on the exempt list.
Plus you are allowed to travel for work - a winter training camp will come under that jurisdiction.

04 Jan 2021 17:45:44
Would also relate to players who don’t live within the area of where there club train or play, and also clubs travelling to away games. Not just football but any professional sportsperson. And it must also relate to semi pro and amateur in some way as there are still those playing sport also mate.

04 Jan 2021 17:55:28
Irvger u r, football is allowed sporting bubbles, they had permission from spfl, sfa and Scottish gov.
Let’s concentrate on us.

04 Jan 2021 18:02:11
Yes irvger you are missing something as they are obviously allowed to be there. If teams were not allowed to travel then football would be shut down all over the world. Teams are in a bubble getting constantly tested allowing special dispensation. No bluebilly I don't have any sympathy for them just utter jealousy that they can relax poolside with pints of beer in the soaring heat. It would be nice if a load of them suffer sunstroke and sunburn on the last day but that's wishful thinking. I had to just walk to the shop for my beer because my car is frozen inside and out but on the plus side you don't need to put them in the fridge just now as its colder out the back.

04 Jan 2021 18:03:48
Irvger do u suggest rangers should not travel to Aberdeen on Sunday.

04 Jan 2021 18:32:36
Who cares what they do for training let them do what ever they like and we just concentrate on 3 points against the sheep.

04 Jan 2021 18:42:09
Ha ha, like your last reply 3 cheers, especially the keep the beers out the back door my friend.

Could probably be wrong again but think I read somewhere going from one extreme weather condition to another can cause cramps in strenuous activities.

Or is that just my wishful thinking that broon won't be able to try his dirty tricks to get players sent off cause he can't play decent football now.

04 Jan 2021 18:51:17
100% correct kJ.

04 Jan 2021 18:53:35
Irvger, I think a few folk on here aren't grasping your point. The difference between going on holiday to dubai and making a work trip from Glasgow to Aberdeen is astronomical! Celtic do not need to be there its not essential travel. Regardless if there in a training camp it is not essential, its an utter embarrasment and a massive kick in the teeth for all us working class folk who are forced by law to stay home. How dare anyone say its ok for a son or daughter to be refused to hold the hand of a dying parent in there last breath because of social distancing and the virus, but you think its okay for the manky mob to go to dubai and kick a ball in the sun. Get your heads checking.

04 Jan 2021 20:55:12
What’s the difference between kickin a ball in Dubai or lennoxtown thefamous? Why does it matter to the people who are moaning so much? It’s as if people just want to make a big drama out of every single thing Celtic do or say or even when they don’t say things, ie the “wanting the season null and void” comments. It’s pure cringe tbh. Why does it matter where they are and what they do if they are acting within the parameters of the law? I just don’t get it. Only reason we have t went is cause it keeps ruining our seasons efforts 😂 if we were there 9 in 10 of the complainers wouldn’t be complaining.

04 Jan 2021 23:34:11
As Steven says, our season starts now. Let's close it out as quick as we can. One game at a time.
