I think the game yesterday could possibly make the gaffer think about a plan B when teams set up with a high press with 2 up top, to be honest his plan A is normally good enough to dispatch all that have tried to go toe to toe. Tav and BB are a massive part of our attacking play overall and when they get pegged back on defensive duties it does limit our attacking flair. The gaffer maybe told them to sit deeper and thankfully it worked out in the end. SG just oozes class and I for one just want to thank him and all his staff for their continued efforts because they have built a cracking squad and a great team bond. Long may it continue.

mcmillst, you've said "Long may it continue " and i totally agree 100% but unfortunately for us Gerrard may come a wanted man down south. Now there's no doubt he's passionate about Rangers and wants to succeed . Maybe he wants to be closer to his wife and young family, I obviously don't know his family commitments at the mo how often does he actually see his family. That's got to play a huge part.

Stuck I don’t see him managing any other team in England other than liverpool. I think his manegerial ambitions, now that he’s here, are rangers, liverpool, England, retirement. In that order. I don’t think he wilm go abroad and he has stated he never wanted to play against liverpool for any other English team so why would he the. Mange against them. He can Fulfill his ambitions at ibrox until the day he gets the call we all dread.

Ingerr and stuck I think SG may well be linked with clubs but is unlikely to move if successful at rangers.
I believe that he will want a crack at champions league football to build his experience and enhance his profile.
His next club will be Liverpool 2024.

His plan B to counter the high press from Liege at Ibrox was to go 442 at HT and it worked very well, won us the game. ðŸ‘.

Stuck, above everything else Gerard is loyal. He had many opportunities to leave Liverpool but he stayed true until he could not give them enough on the field.
If he is successful with us he will not leave for a British club other than Liverpool until it becomes clear that they don't want him (unlikely if he does well with us) .
I can't see him walking away before defending the league title and having a bash at the CL.

He’s here to learn how to cope with the demands of having to win every game. The ins and outs of managing expectations of a big club. Not going to get that at clubs like say derby ie lampard. Say he wins the league and qualifies for cl groups next year then he’s still learning again. And if he somehow manages to get out of that group and win the league again he’s likely a shoe in for the liverpool job when Klopp leaves. If he were to go somewhere else say in the summer or even the following summer, he would be starting a whole new project again with clearly no intention of finishing it as he is obviously eyeing up the pool job in 2024. I think he is perfectly happy and content here and his wife and kids are probably living with what is now the norm to them now. They’re probably up most weekends or him down there after weekend game it’s what? Half an hour on a plane at most? Obviously C.V. had stopped that I suppose.

I like Gerrard's attitude that we have won nothing yet, and his repeated statements that we go one game at a time. He makes the comment yesterday that "the season starts now" and if the squad have that belief, then we won't go far wrong.

The thing I like about Gerrard is that he's very confident and professional when getting interviewed. I have to be honest, I did have a pop at him early doors, maybe that was out of frustration but huge credit to him. The futures bright.

Think key factor is when Kloss decides to leave Liverpool. For example if he leaves in the summer SG could have a decision to make.

We can have a plan B if teams play a high press with 2 forwards, realistically any other team up here won’t play that way against us as the quality they have isn’t good enough just like the manks . We can go long or flood the midfield and play one up top like we do in Europe. These are plan B.
Can you actually see another team trying to play that way against us, given our defence record and the pace we have up front. The manks ran out of steam and last half hour should that. It was a classic rope a dope from us yesterday.
Need 3 points next week that’s all that matters now.
