I reckon Jones will be sold in January, and if a decent bid comes in for Edmundson he will be away as well. Top marks to Steven Gerrard for his public words, but players who embarrass the club like that should be moved on, and I have no doubt they will be.

Doesn’t mean much, he’s hardly going to come out and say ‘yeah we’re going to sell them both in January’ only to watch their values plumit to virtually zero. If come the next window there is any interest, in Jones in particular, then it’s likely he’ll leave. If there’s not then he’ll stay. All he’s saying is the club wants to move on from the incident. Think it’s well known he considers Jones as being expendable if a half decent bid comes in, that was probably already the case but this incident will of just cemented that. Edmundson will be kept as we need 4 CB’s and he’s still a decent young prospect. If Katic is fit around the turn of the year he may consider a loan for Edmundson if anyone comes in for him. Realistically this incident probably won’t of altered these twos future prospects too much. They were both already on the fringes, Jones was always likely to leave sooner rather than later and Edmundson could end up 5th choice when Katic is fit.

Yes i think both jones and edmondson will be moved on and so they should be. This character jones has a terrible attitude and has had numerous chances! Git shot of him.

Jones will leave in January one way or another prob down to championship. Boro have a long standing interest, as soon as magic is fit and available fridge will likely leave on loan with the hope of a higher fee.

I'm more than happy to let SG decide the fate of these two. Clearly in the wrong but not quite a hanging offence for me.
Personally think Jones will be a goner if we can persuade someone else to take him but Edmondson has a bright future with us if he learns from his mistake.
No mater what we should always support our own (unless it is a hanging offence)

Nagasaki, you are missing the £30,000 fine handed out to Aberdeen. Celtic got away with it. Have to say we got away with it as Jones and Edmundson not likely to be playing.

Coops you're not privy to or got any inside information on Jones' attitude. He made an over robust challenge on a Celtic player picked up a red card and Gerrard was not impressed. I've seen Gerrard guilty of that at liverpool. Our guys have been harshly penalised. Mo Salah goes to a big wedding for his brother in Egypt mask off no distancing dancing on a friend's shoulders and no punishment whatsoever and don't say yeah but it's his brother's wedding. And he picked up the virus from it. Jones and Edmunson deserve a break from critics and Gerrard is handling it well.

Come January, Jones will be let go or sold I think. We paid a million quid for ed so I think he'll be kept. In general I don't think we'd be missing much if they go. We've got katic, helander and balogun. Bassey and mayo can also fill in as CB. Jones isn't getting playing time anyway. Anyhoo, Stevie g and Wilson will have us sorted out.

Kfraser, i'm not interested in what other club's player's did in breaking rules, that's for them to deal with, although terrible with what they done, regarding this serious virus C.V.! We're glasgow rangers and i'm interested in what we do and the way we act. For the record i know through jonny evans's uncle how poor an attitude at times,
