Tomthumb12,a wee question for you pal.
Going by your posts mate, i reckon you've been going to watch the famous around the same number of years as me 🤔We've watched many a great ranger over many years perform on our famous hallowed turf of ibrox 👌 Although we rate all our great players and all have different opinions on them, who in your opinion was the greatest rangers player between brian laudrup and paul gascoigne 🤔 It's a question i'm constantly asked myself and not just by young and older rangers supporters! I'm asked this question by other supporters of other clubs as well.

At their best both were unplayable, however, I reckon Laudrup produced more unplayable performances that Gazza.

My uncle, who passed away in 1997, followed Rangers since the end of WW2 and I always remember him saying he believed Laudrup was the best player he’d seen in a Rangers jersey.

Gascoigne for me.

20 Nov 2020 10:31:01
Laudrup yes great player same as gazza but
DAVIE COOPER THEE GREATESTEVER TO PLAY FOR RANGERS.

In my opinion laudrup just edges it over gazza. I remember a game, I think it was scumdee united where laudrup was at the opposition corner flag with two defenders behind him and nowhere to go, he simply rolled the ball up the inside of his leg and back heeled it in between the two defenders to a team mate. I was in awe at the skill this man possessed and he made it look effortless.

My top 3 rangers greatest players i've had the absolute privilege of seeing would b paul gascoigne, davie cooper and brian laudrup in that order fellow bears 👌On the gazza laudrup opinion, although both immense footballers, i believe gazza was the better for me! Gazza was constantly at it during a game whereas i've seen a few times laudrup being challenged hard by an opponent and falling out of the game for a period, that didn't happen where gazza was concerned, as he just kept coming back and ripping his opponent apart, no matter how hard you hit/ challenged him👍As pele once said of gazza, 'A BRAZILIAN IN AN ENGLAND SHIRT", says everything for me really 👌 Also voted the greatest english player over the last 50 years and what a compliment that is 👌 Total genius of a footballer who couldn't be stopped with his god 🙏 given talent. I'll never forget his first year at rangers, WOW! 👌.

sgl good question but for me has to be brian laudrup remember him score against the sheep at ibrox from an unbelievable angle even the commentators were speechless . oh happy memories . but when we win the league this year (not handed it) it will be the most treasured memory of them all!

20 Nov 2020 11:44:13
Gazza’s hat trick against the sheep and in particular his solo run from inside his own half was something else. Very fond memories of both players and that team. I believe that the current team are on the verge of creating something special that will live long in the memory too.

I would always say Laudrup was the better player. Gascoigne was incredibly gifted and had to work hard to be at that level. Laudrup on the other hand was an absolute natural.

look back on the Laudrup final, in the first half Gazza was absolutely untouchable then took an extreme 'dull yin' from a Hearts defender (I think it was Paul Ritchie) and never showed up after that. Laudrup took the heavy tackles, the chopping down and still gave the opposition a lesson.

If you want to see the best of Gazza you have to see his video of his early days at Newcastle. Also go to utube and watch Laudrup's brother. It's a bit grainy in some bits but probably the best passer of a ball I ever seen. Pure genius.

20 Nov 2020 12:48:30
Do the bouncy, gazza as far as I'm concerned didn't at all have to work harder to be the genius he was mate.
Gazza had a god given, natural talent that you can't work on to have or coach/ teach! An absolute maverick/ genius of a footballer, very similar to the world class geordie best 👌.

20 Nov 2020 13:03:09
Another thing DoTheBouncy, gazza made it in italy when he wasn't out injured, whereas brian laudrup didn't/ couldn't 🤔I remember a particular lazio v juventus game where gazza ripped juve to shreds 👌
He scored one and made 2 that day in a 4-1 win for lazio 👍What a performance and the lazio supporters still talk about that performance and love him still because of his performances for them👌.

20 Nov 2020 13:03:39
Completely different players but Laudrup for me, just!

20 Nov 2020 13:19:44
The Great Dane for me. Didn't have the media profile of Gazza but was far more consistent. And despite coming from a small country, he also played in a team that won a major international tournament.

A 100% model professional.

20 Nov 2020 13:20:23
I’d say Gazza the better player in world football, but as a ranger both equal IMO but if had to laudrup would edge it. weird that isn’t it lol.

20 Nov 2020 13:31:08
Agreed SGL laudrup also struggled down south with Chelsea.

20 Nov 2020 13:43:16
Both of them made you get out your seat when they started running with the ball. Gazza on his game was a match winner, BL couldn't just win games on his own he made players around him raise their games well. Difficult choice, but for me BL shades it. ( and yes Cooper was great but like Gazza occasionally blew hot and cold)

20 Nov 2020 14:31:50
Definately laudrup for me. Better professional as well for all gazza was he brought far too much baggage.

20 Nov 2020 14:55:57
Know many Lazio fans coop? 🤣.

20 Nov 2020 16:01:40
If you read and know your football, you would know what lazio fans said and thought about gazza mate 👍 Hope that answers your sarcastic question Broxi Bear 🐻😁.

20 Nov 2020 17:31:40
DavieCooper, Ian Durrant, Gazza, laudo.

21 Nov 2020 09:26:34
For me it's gazza Laudrup cooper.
