According to daily record Jones and Edmunson hit with 7 game ban. Anyone know what other players were hit with at the start of the season from other teams?

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Nov 2020 15:13:31
Idiots and got what they deserved.

19 Nov 2020 15:47:17
What punishment did the wee ned receive.

19 Nov 2020 15:53:56
Agree yately01,the clowns both got what they deserved!

19 Nov 2020 16:11:08
They deserved to be punished, and I have made my feelings clear on that, but the SFA are out of order here!
Yes, punish them, but how can the SFA justify this punishment which is not in line with previous punishments handed out for more severe breaches? I take it this is in line with the new measures drawn up after the Celtic and Aberdeen breaches?
A can of worms have been opened here?

19 Nov 2020 16:43:35
Doesn’t Matter a jot what happened to earlier players, Aberdeen players were almost innocent as they made a genuine mistake, like many others at that time, the Celtic characters career here is over, and these two have had 8 months of warnings, did you expect the same punishments?

19 Nov 2020 16:53:37
I'm not standing up for the SFA here but didn't they fine Celtic and Aberdeen £30,000 too or maybe it was suspended?

7 game ban seems pretty lenient to me considering the jeopardy they could have placed our club and other in although they weren't as idiotic as that cretin Bolingoli, who should have been banned for far more than three games.

19 Nov 2020 17:01:13
Aberdeen players 3 games suspended bolingoli 2 games so no idea where the fairness is in a 7 game ban 🤷‍♂️ I agree they deserve punished but 3 games surely so it's in the ballpark of the other offences.

19 Nov 2020 17:26:44
The issue I have is the SFA have made an example of these 2 clowns, and once again, used us to set a precedent.
How were the Aberdeen players almost innocent? The rules were set, and they broke them, not almost broke them!
Look, I want the 2 clowns gone, and they deserve everything that comes to them, but all I ask for is a level playing field when it comes to SFA punishments.

19 Nov 2020 17:32:42
Whether 7 games is fair or not, or in line with what others got, hopefully the one thing it will do will ensure that no one else from our club even thinks about stepping out of line or breaking any of the rules again. Knowing they’d be hit with 7 games out and basically then having no chance of getting back into the team after that should sharply focus all the players minds. (Not that any of them should need any more reminders mind)

19 Nov 2020 17:33:59
Aberdeen players - genuine mistake? 😂😂😂
Bolingoli - only reason his career is over because he is rank rotten, not because he went to Spain for his Nat King, came back, played without notifying the Tims!

19 Nov 2020 17:36:25
So people who know zero about the circumstances of the case are shouting about the punishment ? Incredible, and after 8 months of warning you think the punishment should stay the same as the people who broke the rules earlier, before more millions died? Why would anyone think that? What would be the point ? Idiot football players would faction in the ban and take the chance, if they knew the punishment would be progressively heavier, would that not be a reasonable and rightminded response? Its actually scary and worrying that there are fans on here who don't get that these idiots are far far worse than the Aberdeen players who thought they could go together for a meal, like everyone else in Aberdeen at that time, the celtic players idiocy was punished at that time, more people have died, the warning got more serious and the punishment gets stronger, wtf are you on about other earlier things, whataboutery, pathetic.

19 Nov 2020 17:48:58
So you're confident enough to say the punishment was justified even though you don't know the full circumstances? Brilliant!
You can't have a go at people for their opinion on the basis they know zero about the circumstances when you yourself know zero about the circumstances, mate!

19 Nov 2020 18:11:06
BMGH01,I agree with you totally, however, could it possibly be a bigger sanction in the hope that brainless halfwits don’t do this again? I don’t know, just a suggestion, but if that is the thinking I would expect a 10 game ban for the next culprits for this kind of scenario?

19 Nov 2020 18:46:51
Yes they dine wrong yes they should be punished but 7 games is way too much and I ain’t one for conspiracies etc. but is a complete and utter joke 7 games when the people before them got a hell of a lot less.

They wouldn’t have played in the next 7 games but that’s irrelevant.

19 Nov 2020 18:49:14
It could be F0rfar, but it still stinks. The SFA are not fit for purpose and all this should have been set out before the season started so everyone knew where the stood. Did they actually think some of these over paid, over privileged, dumb f*@ks wouldn't make an arse of it?

19 Nov 2020 19:01:32
You've hit the nail on the head, BMGH01.
Punishment should have been sorted before the season started.
As the games governing body in Scotland, it's a dereliction of duty that the SFA failed to have anything in place.
But they had bigger issues to face - fitting in last season's SFA cup into an already crowded fixture list. 😜.

19 Nov 2020 19:02:19
The same crime requires the same punishment. Moral philosophy is not relevant.

19 Nov 2020 19:16:01
Nothing like getting your priorities right, eh BlueBell? They're a disgrace!

19 Nov 2020 19:29:52
Definitely agree bmgh01.

19 Nov 2020 19:32:43
Wise words, Bankie.

19 Nov 2020 19:53:07
Does it actually matter, they could be suspended for the rest of the season for all I care they’re nowhere near the quality of our first team anyway.

19 Nov 2020 20:27:33
Fm scary, the same crime deserves the same punishment, ? What, forever bankie?, so if I rob someone I should get the same punishment as someone who did it last year, bmg, why can't I have a go at people who only see pathetic conspiracies when you get to have a go at me?
You are aware of the situation at Aberdeen when the entire Aberdeen team got the rules wrong, simply because the government hadn't made it clear, you see the pubs and restaurants were open and operational in sheep country then and they believed they could eat together, like they did at work, that's perfectly understandable at that time, because it wasn't made clear enough, now if rangers feel there's a conspiracy here then rangers will appeal, if they don't then there's a few, who will feel silly, then again probably not, its conspiracy, its a conspiracy, I remember singing that, maybe your too young to remember, tell me, how will you react if the next players who attend a party after 10 months of warning, and are banned for 12 games, but they play for a different team, how will you react then, because I know that will happen, because I believe the players from my club should have faced the utmost punishment, and I believe anyone doing it again should receive even heavier punishment, but I live in the real world, its conspiracy,

19 Nov 2020 20:58:06
Tomthumb12, not forever but certainly within the same season. Probably 3 categories of punishment.

1. Legal punishment (charged and fined by police)
2. Club Punishment (internally as we discussed earlier)
3. Football Match punishment (SFA match ban) .

In this thread we are discussing 3, same crime requires same punishment.

20 Nov 2020 06:20:46
Banking, I understand where you are coming from but if the punishment wasn’t a big enough deterrent, which it clearly wasn’t it needs increased.
If someone else from a different club does it in future and punishment decreases then we can talk about fairness.
I’m glad this precedent has been set. Let all clubs follow suit.
We should be supporting it fully. Lead by example that is the club that we are!
We bicker over the severity of the punishment when it’s a few games when friends on here are grieving for loved ones that have been lost and may not have been if it wasn’t for the actions of others like these two. That’s the reality. Throw the book at them and anyone else.
