Over the years we have had some great goalkeeers Brown, Niven, McCloy etc etc. Ed can you raise a poll with the nominees McGreggor, Klos, Goram, Woods, McCloy, Brown and Niven. Tks Ed.

I think Ronald waterreuss actually retired klos. After klos came back from injury and Ronnie kept his place in team that’s when klos packed it in I think. I may be wrong. I also loved charbonnier paul86 thought he was a great keeper.

Anti Niemi was a good keeper too, although he never got much game time with us.

I agree paul86, that before lionel charbonnier picked up a rib injury,
which kept him out for a while, he was superb for us. I'll never forget his save from a henrik larsson header from point blank which he touched onto the bar 👌It was a stunning save and i had a cracking view of it in the copland road stand. The game ended 0-0 that day but what a save that was from charbonnier 👌.

McCloy wasn't in Goram or Klose's class.

Efriar McCoy was head and shoulders above goram and klos.

I love the bit of trivia that Waterreus and Nick Colgan faced each other in the English and Scottish League Cups in the same season and Waterreus beat Colgan 7-1 in both games. Man City v Barnsley and Rangers v Dundee Utd 2004-5.

McCloy played in an era when no keeper was like Goram or Stefan, goalkeepers were mainly tall and rarely made the kind of saves more modern keeper makes, and big Peter couldn’t have made such saves, Goram has disgraced himself and the club as far as I’m concerned, knowing what I know about him, it’s my opinion, but in any case I always thought Stefan to be a world class keeper.
