I hope the videos filtering round of the Scotland players n camp last night show exactly why these boys embrace playing for their country. Wither you support the SFA or not. maybe try supporting the players! They work their balls off for things like this! Wither they play for rangers, Celtic, St mirren or hibs, everyone of them get my full backing and support.
Im sure we all remember these words. " They won't need visas, they won't need passports. euro 2020 (21) brace yourself. Scotland are. coming! " I do not with yo enter into any debate or fight over this. As much as I hate the SFA. i love the national team and this is fully deserved! Now bring on the English at Wembley! The joy, the tears, the elation everyone of they guys showed. they are all hero's and let's congratulate them all on their footballing achievement!
I know things have beencposted on social media etc. let's use another thread for that please. This one is all about positive vibes for the players, the backroom and the nation!

Brilliant achievement and I'm very proud of our national team. I can't understand why so many refuse to support the team blaming the sfa or Aberdeen, Celtic fans booing etc because none of those actions have anything to do with the team. I hate the sfa and any fans who find it clever to boo their national team but those clowns will never stop me supporting Scotland and I couldn't be any prouder today. A big well done to our team and what a tie we have in store at Wembley with the auld enemy.

Aye, most true Scots support the national team 3 cheers, but many of us can't support certain individuals who have despicable attitudes towards others on and off the field. (you know who they are mate) .

I'm a very proud rangers diehard and have been following my beloved rangers everywhere for nigh on 45 years now! I used to always also go to the scotland games and always have and always will support the country of my birth! I'm very proud to be scottish and british in that order! Over the years i've had superb times at scotland games. I don't like the SFA or want indepence for scotland, as i want to remain part of the union, but that shouldn't mean that any of our supporters who are scottish born and bred, should not support scotland because they hate the SFA and want to remain part of the union. that's most definitely separate issues for me! Bluebell and Bluebilly, I think the point is that when supporting Scotland you are supporting the team and the nation that you belong to, not individual people or players (or for that matter the governing body) . I also can’t stand Griffiths, but that’s because he is an awful human being, not actually because of who he plays for. I don’t have any problem with the likes of McGregor or Christie WHIlST PLAYING for SCOTLAND I’ll add before folk go mental. My point is, certain individuals shouldn’t turn you against your nation / team you support. I’m sure there have been players that played for Rangers that you’ve not liked as people but that’s not stopped you supporting us. For example I didn’t like Diuof or Barton as people. I think they are arrogant, ignorant and overall pretty nasty pieces of work. Yet i'd never Ever of considered not supporting Rangers just because they played for us.

I thought I made it clear I 100% support the Scotland team but cannot support certain individuals (the squad would still perform just as well without them in my opinion)
Also, pretty sure BlueBell is also a true Scotland team supporter at heart and like me has his opinions on individuals.
Maybe he will let you know this on his own behalf tho.

Fair play then Bluebilly (I actually wrote that before your second post above appeared) .
There have been a lot of others though that I’ve seen today who’ve stated that they don’t care about Scotland citing reasons such as ‘certain players’ or the ‘SFA’ or what some fans have chanted in the past. Just don’t see the point in letting those things affect whether or not they care about their nation.

Great post Coops, I don’t understand why some of our fans cannot support their country. Have some great memories following Scotland and remember vividly Joe Jordon in 1973 scoring and Dennis Law entertaining us from the touchline. Last nights performance whilst perhaps not quite of the same quality was equally exciting and for the current generation of young supports every bit as meaningful as my 1973 memory.

I remember watching Scotland v eire at Hampden in the sixties. The celtic end was full of green and white scarves. If you think they were all southern Irish then your crazy. I'd say 70% of celtic supporters don't support the land of their birth.
