So many famous people have been flawed and made mistakes. I loved Gazza as much as I love Rangers, but the best British player I have ever seen has to be George Best (and how flawed was he? ) . Imagine Gascoigne and Best in the same team? The thing outside football they had in common is booze.

Gotham is better than banks Kennys prob the best Scotsman though although before my time so fair play. I wouldn’t have beckham in that list mate. England have Bobby Moore maybe Geoff hurst ahead of becks.
Stevie G is probably ahead of becks in his career achievements. Gerrard was the best English player since Gazza. Still is.

Sorry doiger I have to disagree mate think Beckham was massively overrated as was Keane in that team.

Good question mate, and no matter how many people vote for Gazza, best etc, there isn’t a definitive answer for me, and possibly never will be, and anyone who argues otherwise is arguing something that will never be proven, there’s many who will possibly not be considered, but where truly world class, like Hoddle and Le Tissier and Baxter etc.

Paul gascoigne and george best streets in front of any of the rest for me, absolutely NO contest. As i've said before gazza is the greatest most talented rangers player i've ever had the privilege of seeing 👌
Not much at all between gascoigne and best and quite similar absolute geniuses for me! If pushed i would saw best just, was better than gascoigne and that's my total, honest opinion!

It was Stevie G for me while I was growing up mate, didn't see Hoddle in his pomp to compare. So have to say the gaffer!
