Watched that gazza doc on Netflix, my all time favourite player, what a footballer and character, the poor man's been through a hell of a lot in his life, for those who haven't watched he'd it yet I recommend.

Agree7 Disagree0

I seen it a while back on sky I take it that it’s the same one was a great watch.

Yip Me2,gazza was my favourite rangers player of all time and my god what a footballer 👌 I've seen it myself mate and without a doubt paul gascoigne as well as having been a world class footballer, was a down to earth 🌎, working class gateshead lad, with a heart of gold!
He was an absolute god of a footballer and i still haven't seen any other player close to gazza in the british game! We'll never see his likes again 👌A very special god given talent indeed 👌.

Fantastic footballer and a joy to watch but a very flawed personality capable of making headlines for all the worst reasons and as someone with a wife and daughter that's something I can't forgive.

Geronimo people make mistakes, saying he has a very flawed character is very harsh.

The man has demons yes, and he's an alcoholic and done stupid things on drink doesn't mean to say the guy doesn't regret these things and is exempt from forgiveness, atleast he holds his hands up to what he's done. Should also watch the Mike tyson documentary very honest great watch also made mistakes he regrets.

Coop 👏👏👏thoughts exactly, shows you how greatly he's regarded with the likes of mourinho, Rooney and other greats in the game all agreeing he's the best England's ever had 👏👏.

Geronimo, gazza has mental health issues mate! Nobody ever sets out to have mental health problems mate, its episodes in our life that bring them to us i'm afraid 😞.

12 Nov 2020 15:00:14
He still owes he’s pals maw that kettle 😂😂.

Geronimo we are all products of our environment mate, the circumstances of our upbringings and the experiences we go through while our brains are still developing and therefore it struggles to process the traumatic events we go through. That can effect our mental health for the rest of our lives. Gazza witnessed a young boy die in front of his very eyes when he was the one who should’ve been watching him. It was very nearly Gazza that got hit, just Sod’s law how it happened. Toss of the coin if u like. And Gazza has stated he wishes it was him. He was already a hyperactive kid displaying signs of adhd. That experience obviously shaped the person he became. I have 3 daughters mate I know where you’re coming from. But Gazza isn’t a bad person, more a tortured soul. Haunted by his demons and unable to control them. He therefore uses alcohol, and at times cocaine, as a coping mechanism. It’s the one thing he can control (in his mind) he can’t actually control it. He’s made mistakes and big ones. But other than sheryl the only person he’s ever hurt is himself. What he does to himself is a form of self harm. You’re not wrong in what you say mate but maybe be more understanding. There’s bad people out there, Gazza isn’t one of them.

Nice words there ingerrardwetrust👏👏👏.

12 Nov 2020 16:21:24
GazzaLoyal I should have used the word forget rather than forgive.

As for mental health problems, does this somehow give you the right to beat out of your partner? And does anybody think that battered women won't have mental health problems? Therefore I just can't go down the 'Gazza's a great guy' line just because he represented Rangers.

12 Nov 2020 16:43:30
Everyone entitled to their opinion I see where ger is coming from.

I love Gazza don’t get me wrong but mental health issues are getting used to much for things that are bang out of order.

Out of interest did anyone want rid of Gazza for beating his wife?

Because what he done is much worse than what Jones and Edmundson done but a lot of people want them out the door 🤔.

12 Nov 2020 17:16:30
Geronimo, having serious mental health issues means you can / will do terrible things such as gazza has done, as your totally out of control so unfortunately and i don't for one minute condone any man battering a woman, and can be capable of doing these things.

Gazza remember mate has many many mental health problems which most definitely caused him to do these things! Deep down gazza is a great guy but his demons make him do what he's done. Its out of his control mate!

12 Nov 2020 17:17:36
He's unfortunately a tortured soul Geronimo 😞.

12 Nov 2020 17:18:19
I made the point regarding gazza after the jones/ edmundson party fiasco. I never heard many calling for him to be kicked out the door for something much worse. A poster actually wrote, it was different times back then, as if it was ever ok to beat your wife to a pulp. Great player but he doesn't get a pass from me for that, I totally agree with geronimo on that point.

Great question KJ 👍 I’m eager to read replies, I was only what 12/ 13 in 98 so I can’t give an informed response looking at it now in the “modern day and age” I’d want him out however back then I don’t know how it was treat by rangers fans, directors, management, teammates? Interesting to know peoples thoughts at the time?

12 Nov 2020 17:25:27
That's a good point kja, just show you though how far we've come to what was tolerated then at clubs and sport, to what will be tolerated now.

12 Nov 2020 17:29:59
KJA9 i don't get you sometimes, not for one minute do i condone anyone physically assaulting or even abusing any other person. if these two clown happened to get infected and passed it on to a vulnerable person god knows what the outcome could have been. even worse than the clowns in joe public who don't care what they do during this C.V. these 2 knew totally it was wrong, they knew the consequences of their actions and the deserve what rangers see fit to punish them with.
