I honestly thought some of the name calling and comments on here regarding tav, when he wasn't playing anywhere near his best last season was bang out of order! He's the glasgow rangers captain for god's sake. Its fair enough to say he was playing poorly etc because he was, but some of the comments sickened me TBH! Gerrard was a great captain himself and if he sees fit by making tav the captain he sees this guy at training everyday and that will do for me ðŸ‘.

SGL. This year has been tavs by far best season so far. He has clearly really been working on his defensive game. So credit to him. But up until last season he was a major weak link every single season i think that was pretty clear for all to see. And am sure everybody who moaned at him myself included are now being proved wrong. But yes it has taken him a good few years to get to this consistant level and cut out constant howlers.

Here we go! When players are not playing well, giving possession away which results in our biggest rivals scoring, causing goals in Europe etc then they deserve criticism regardless of how good we know they can be (it part and parcel of the game) . Remember, you yourself have criticised players on here SGL.
Right now Tav is priceless to our team and that's testament to his hard work and determination to turn things around!

I was actually going to create a post yesterday along those lines and say something about if he were to leave it would be for big money as he must be one of the best, certainly on these isles. I also don't think I'm being over the top when I say that, look at his numbers and the experience he has. That all stacks up, open to interpretation of course, like everything.

Haven't been Tav's biggest fan tbh but all credit to the guy. He is playing well, scoring goals and looks as if he could run all day. Delighted to be proved wrong about him. He and Goldson have been superb this season.
