Tav, Barasic, Kamara, Goldson all had dips in form and quite a lot of posters wanted them sold. Morelos is also having a dip in form and the droppers and sellers are out in force. Now there will come a point where he will get dropped as his job is to score goals so when you drop or persevere is a tricky decision. Frustration is making it worse for him but he needs to realise its a team/ squad game and to bow out with grace and get back to training hard and he will get his chance. I think he has a bit of an ego which will add to his frustration when he not on from, look at his twitter, he's a big heed, needs knocked out of him, that's where i'd start (easier said than done, granted) and the goals will return. Egotistical players would probably thrive with our support maybe he's lost his edge cause the adoring crowd is gone, just a thought.

But his new role means he won't score as many goalsðŸ¤. Surely a ST that was banging goals in and had a potential value of 20mil would be of more benefit to club and the team rather than giving him a new role where he won't score goals therfore making his value plummet. That just doesn't make any sense at all. He hasn't been himself for a while and should be droppedðŸ‘.

No disagreeing or agreeing but he's a complicated character and needs to be managed carefully for the benefit of our club and for his own future. Remove the ego and you will find Alfredo.

So what you are saying is that he doesn't have a new role? SG has told him to continue to play the way he has always played and shoot on sight, be selfish and not pass to others?
Strange that he doesn't get hooked when he regularly runs away from the goals, appears at left back, takes touches at the half way line and sits on the bye line don't you think?
I recon than he is just a wee bit slow on the uptake - not too bright (how many footballers are? ) and has not quite settled 100% to the new role.
I'm confident that he will settle down and gain confidence and still score 25+ goals this season.
For me his demeanor is better, he celebrates with teammates, appears to be part of the group and looks to be far less moody than last year.
Of course what do I know - I have been consistent in supporting our captain when most others were ready to drive him down the motorway!

His dip in form/ confidence has lasted nearly a full calender year. Takin time adjusting to this new role still.

I don't believe there ia any change in role, we are still playing one striker.

Even with one striker he can perform multiple roles depending on tactics. Last year Morelos would be found in the box more often than not looking to score but this season he is moving away from the goal - why do you think that is?
Perhaps he has developed a fear of goalkeepers or decided that he doesn't enjoy scoring goals anymore?

Just an example but firmino doesn’t get abuse for not scoring many goals 🤠and before anyone says anything not saying fredo is the same sort of player or as good as him.

What about Tav and Goldson? Does seem strange that our RB has scored more than our forwards?
Are they playing a new role or just ignoring the manager and scoring goals just to annoy him and wind up Morelos?
Maybe you have wondered what they draw on the board when brining on a sub, could it be their dinner choices or maybe the positions and moves that they are expected to play in the formation as the game progresses?
