I never realised the sheep had two games in hand over us, means they are on potentially 24 points if they win their games. We must win on Saturday! Because if they win their two games in hand and this weekend fixture they would be one in front of us IF we lost. That's unbelievable considering we have been playing really well. Ross McCrorie gas made a big difference to them. I can't believe we sold him for 350 k. Absolutely madness.

Agree1 Disagree0

One of their games in hand is the unwashed so wouldn't mind them winning all their games in hand to be fair haha.

Agree totally on McCrorie, dreadful piece of business.

14 Oct 2020 13:10:03
Is Mcrorie not on loan to Aberdeen?

14 Oct 2020 13:18:05
No. Aberdeen secured an option to buy for 350k at end of year loan. We cannot withdraw the agreement. The boy will be worth 2 million easily when Aberdeen pay us our 350. Shocking business.

14 Oct 2020 13:35:56
Quarter of the season gone . Aberdeen will finish about 15 points behind us.

14 Oct 2020 13:48:11
Never forget Mccrorie made it very clear he wanted away from SG and Rangers.
Already price will increase once he gets first Scotland cap.

14 Oct 2020 14:12:59
John25, the boy was on a long term contract, the sheep were happy with season loan, cannot defend an appalling piece of business.

14 Oct 2020 14:25:46
Your right John, he wanted to play.
Don't think SG would have given him much game time this season.
I actually think he could have played a role for us but I don't think the manager agreed with me.
He's too good for Aberdeen.

14 Oct 2020 15:52:21
Bankie I’m not defending poor business, I know his family, from Ayrshire as well.
He was not in frame with SG. He asked to move, rangers chose not to stand in his way and be fair to a lad who had given 13 years to us.
In his interview on dons tv, he says he wanted games and he turned down insertion off buy back clause,
Said several add ons, based on appearance, Scotland cap and winning cups. Plus % sale.
For avoidance of doubt I did not want him to go, he will move south within two years imo, SG has made a mistake.
However, the boy said he wanted to leave for games, how many think he would be in squad for Scotland if still at ibrox.
Also harsh reality who would u drop for him.

Good squad player that's it. netter than docherty? Yes. better than kamara, jack, davis, arfield, aribo. No he's not hence limited game time. Will 100% flourish at a lesser team.

Good post Paul, what I find hard to grasp we got more up front from Man City for dire mebube than we will get up front from Aberdeen for Mccrorie.

14 Oct 2020 16:54:56
John25, respect your view but I see this from the viewpoint of decision taking to maximise value of our club.

I agree he would not have played every game for us this season. If fit and available however I do believe he would have been in every match day squad. If we play 65 games this season I think he would have started 15-20 and got game time in 30-40. It is not a question of who I would drop as it is very seldom all players will be available (injuries, suspensions, form) and already we’ve seen need to call on youngster like Barjonas and the season has hardly started. SG said McCrorie was “ future captain of our club”. He has played at every level for his country and is about to make his full Scotland debut. He could play midfield, central defence and RFB and when required even played goalkeeper. He was on a long term contract and the sheep would have been delighted with a season loan. Additionally we have sent a poor message to other youngsters at the club on pathway including his brother currently on loan at Livingstone. Extremely poor football and business decision.

At the moment I'd agree with you paul86. I think mccrorie can and will improve a lot given game time though.

14 Oct 2020 18:06:16
Bankie. We r not disagreeing, I said we have made a big mistake. To sell a 16 year old for less who has not played for our b team I find strange.

14 Oct 2020 18:10:28
Yes grumpy also agree but will only do that with game time which we can't give him unfortunately.
