Can't believe what am reading were top of league conceded only 2 all season are playing well and on here we're all arguing it about time we fans we backed stevie and the team and pulled together and get 55 over the line
There's ginna be setbacks and bumps along the way but rather this than watching us play Peterhead Brechin etc. Come on guys let's push the team to 55.

Agree11 Disagree0

We are falsely top of the league, celtic will win their game in hand, we are 2 points behind in my mind. There can't be many bumps alone the way as you call them as the season looks like it will be cut short again and nobody is taking any points off Celtic. This is the sort of nonsense being put up here in the 2nd half of last season when points were getting dropped. Its a draw let's move on, then another draw then a defeat and before we know it we are out another title race.

Do supporters not have the right to vent their frustrations? This forum is open to all opinions regardless If you agree with them or not. We might be top of the league (unless they win their game in hand) with only 2 goals conceded, but we're still seeing the same old frailties from the last 2 seasons. Just because some on this form don't support the manager, doesn't mean they don't support the team. As John25 posted earlier it's all about respecting different opinions even If you don't agree.
Just to be clear, even though I think Gerrard is not a good enough manager we are stuck with him for the season, and there is no way we can afford to sack him and find the money to bring in someone who is good enough. Celtic, like last season, are there for the taking If he can only see where he is going wrong and adapt to suit. Do I think he is capable? No!

24 Sep 2020 10:29:05
That's the spirit sweep, let's just assume that the league is over right now, let's just give it to Celtic, cancel the league and give them ten. That's not how it works mate. We fight for everything, last season is over. We are unbeaten, drawn two games. We still have to play them and we will beat them.

24 Sep 2020 11:12:21
Guys, we need a bit of reality for the past few weeks people were pinpointing the Hibs game as the first 'awkward' game where someone would actually have a go at us. Whether you like it or not, it didn't go well and didn't look good. Let's hope it's a 1 off, but it was too similar to a lot of last years performances for me. We need to go into a few gears higher than where we are right now.

24 Sep 2020 11:29:39
Its the same tactical flaws and the same mistakes from the last two years. Why can't people see this? Are people to afraid to say anything against gerrard? Its so obvious that he is not learning. 👍.

24 Sep 2020 11:55:39
Felt similar to the game played back in december 2018. Gain a winning position, decide to hold on then concede late on. An unfortunate pattern.

24 Sep 2020 12:50:06
As we are playing the blame game for not beating Hibs, here we go:

SG picked the team - get rid of him

Morelos scuffed a header - drop or get rid of him

Kent couldn't beat the goalkeeper when one on one - drop or get rid of him

Arfield had 2 bites of the cherry in the blink of an eyelid - drop or get rid of him

Goldson gave the ball away for the 2nd goal - drop or get rid of him.

Right now that we have got rid of last weekends reasons for not winning, where do we go from here for Sundays game.

24 Sep 2020 12:54:51
Coldo, obviously the manager and most of us lack your tactical awareness.
So please detail it here and mb Sg will read it and change tactics.
Mb u should write to the board and offer to be the manager, I assume u have all your coaching badges.

24 Sep 2020 13:09:55
Tactics were nothing to do with drawing at Hibs.
It's consistency from players.
Did Gerrard make the error for the second goal? No it was Goldson.
Did Gerrard miss the Arfield chance? No.
Did Gerrard play poorly compared to previous games? No, that was Kent.

24 Sep 2020 13:32:13
Coldos got a poster of Buzz on his bedroom wall.

24 Sep 2020 13:33:43
Correct bluebell.

24 Sep 2020 14:07:57
If it's the consistency of the players, blueBell, does that mean they're not good enough?

24 Sep 2020 14:18:15
And a very big well said to john and bluebell!

24 Sep 2020 14:35:26
It might mean some aren't bmg. Maybe 'the best£7m rangers will ever spend' Kent isn't as good as we all hoped he'd be? 🤔
Maybe the midfield aren't as good when Jack and Aribo don't play? 🤔.

24 Sep 2020 14:49:39
Was Jack and Aribo not playing regularly last season when we weren't good enough to win the league? Was Jack not playing in the Livingston game this season? The answer to both are yes. Again, does this mean that the players are not good enough?

24 Sep 2020 15:25:54
why do so many people come and think the moaning and the negativity is based on the last perfromance?

GillyGer the point is its the same old story each season and this one is panning out the same

Dont kill teams and get punished, can't break down 10 behind the ball etc

The same problems we have had since SG 1st season so that's the issue.

24 Sep 2020 15:36:51
Tried responding to this earlier but not posted

Nobody can see by the name Gerrard

Any other manager sitting second going in 3 seasons and not won a cup with money spent so far everyone would be calling for there head

Imagine it was murty in charge or the bread man? Having spent all this money and had so many players bought in who haven’t cut the mustard no one would stand for it

But we’re stuck with him for foreseeable

Let’s hope his favourites start producing when it counts and any future transfers in are way better than most he’s brought in previously And can get a game
And I’m talking about the transfers that haven’t worked out
Too many failures

If it’s not Gerrard who picks these players then I apologise and who ever does should be the one leaving.

24 Sep 2020 15:46:12
Any time I've spoke out bout gerrard I've bn hung slung and quartered.

24 Sep 2020 15:57:31
Again as I posted above maybe some aren't bmg.

24 Sep 2020 16:13:37
The players are talented enough - it's the mentality side of things where they aren't strong enough to perform consistently and cut out the simple errors or take daddy goalscoring opportunities when they arise.
They've shown they can compete with decent European opposition and Celtic. It's about putting a run together. The first trophy is always the most difficult. Then winning becomes a mindset. 👍.

24 Sep 2020 16:53:25
The 'Tic Fans are out in force today.

24 Sep 2020 17:42:21
You one of them Irvger pleased were not winning anything then sitting second behind your team past few seasons you must be loving it eh!

Hopefully it won’t be long and the tables turn 😊.

24 Sep 2020 18:06:21
Ah, the old you must be a Celtic fan reply. Brilliant!

24 Sep 2020 18:47:29
Stig, I am more open minded than most, but, as far as I'm aware we're top at present, far too early to be calling for any major change, also, it's financially mad to even contemplate it, the season end is when any change will be made, if required.

24 Sep 2020 18:56:26
We lost two points on Saturday because the players on the park lacked bottle. Nothing to do with Gerrard and everything to do with the players. We did miss Aribo and Jack, both playing well before their injuries and Aribo has been a better player since the start of this season. For me, Helander is not suited to the Scottish Game. Yes, in Europe but as we saw on Sunday he was outmuscled and consequently out jumped and that should not have happened. Goldson made a bad mistake and it lead to a goal, (irrespective of whether it was offside), and unfortunately he is prone to making at least one mistake a game. Against poor opposition we get off with it, that didn't happen on Sunday. Our squad is wafer thin and despite Gerrard saying that we would only bring in better players and players that can make a difference so far that has not happened. Itten looks like he will take time to get used to the game in Scotland, same with Haji and Roofe has the same injury issues as he has had previously. I am questioning our DoF, he seems good at getting rid of players, albeit at a pittance but I am still waiting on two or three quality signings that will make a difference! We need a quality box to box midfield player and a quality right winger. It will be interesting to see whether this happens before the transfer window closes.
