SFA's Scottish Cup semi final preparations in disarray after latest lockdown restrictions.
The SFA's main reason for playing them this season was "to give fans a day out" and for them ( SFA ) to "make money".
Now that it looks unlikely fans will be allowed to attend, should they just scrap last year's competition and move on?
Or is there an ulterior motive to allow it still to be played? The Tims and their tainted treble?
SFA = Corruption👍👀.

Whether it was Rangers in that cup final or not I can honestly say my opinion would have been that if you halt playing the leagues to a finish then the cup should be stopped as well. Simple as that.

Of course it should be played.
Yes they wanted fans because it's worth millions of pounds in revenue but it's looking like it's going to be no fans so if that's how it needs to be then fine finish the comp without fans.

Why 3 cheers? At what stage would you call it?

10 Sep 2020 21:24:58
I wouldn't call it
Play it to a finish.

10 Sep 2020 21:31:45
But uefa finished last seasons games this season, pretty sure we were involved.

10 Sep 2020 21:49:21
Off course play it to a finish, they then have another two games delayed.

10 Sep 2020 21:49:33
If it should have been called with league MOC bear do you agree the champions league and Europa league should have been called then as well?

10 Sep 2020 21:58:25
KJA9 If the league was played to a finish then the cup should have been too. The league wasn't so the cup shouldn't be either in my opinion. The Champs league and Europa are under Uefa decision makers and they wanted to play to a finish so that's fair enough. I just don't get how our FA chose to stop leagues and not cup🤷‍♂️

For the record I've already said that it doesn't bother me that the league was stopped because realistically we wouldn't have won it but all i'm saying is the full season either stops domestically or it doesn't. Either way is fine with me but be consistent.

Well, if it was to be scrapped then we would miss out on the chance of a Hibs or Aberdeen beating them at an empty Hampden which must be a possibility. Lennon's record there isn't great over the years and the lack of a crowd would be a leveller too.

Plus they would just moan on for years playing the victim card if the games weren't played, claiming they would definitely have won it.

Best to play it out.

10 Sep 2020 22:21:04
If we were still in it I would be raging if they scrapped it. Play it out and just hope they don’t win it.

MOCbear i'm with you. Stopping the league but continuing the cup is stupidity at best. I genuinely think our FA don't understand what this year actually is. Were approaching a million C.V. deaths worldwide. who actually gives a toss about the scottish cup.

. and for the millions? no I don't think so. now for a couple of shekels to keep the suits employed? now I get it! another con!
