Kri55. We are all allowed to express our opinions, which is what this site is all about! I don't make personal attacks on players but criticism is fully justified. I agree Tav is a decent player and rarely misses a match but he is not, in my opinion, a Rangers captain. The captain right now should be Goldson given his current form.

Gone are the days when a captain shouted and bawled at his team mates it's about do players respect you iv never read of Any1 past or present who doesn't and about showing an example tav does it more than most. As Gerrard says others in team are more vocal but that doesn't mean they'd ba good skippers. I personally don’t think Tav should be captain but I do think he gets a lot of unfair criticism but to suggest that Stevie needs to back him I don’t agree with. Steven Gerrard is strong enough to make big decisions. Alfredo being dropped proves this.

I believe Kri55 means, SG has made his choice, we don't have to agree with it but do need to back our team and players. It isn't Tavs fault, and he is a vital player to our style of play. And if you will watch games without tinted specs you will see a lot positive in his game.

Love Tav but not MY choice for captain. Does Gerrard know more than me regarding this, probably. However me and Gerrard have 1 thing in common. Neither has successfully navigated a whole league season and came out on top.
The 1 thing we lack is that driving force. A captain that does this would change this.
