Just a quick one on Ryan Kent. Don't know if everybody will agree with me (I know Coops and Coldo will) that the early form shown by Ryan Kent has been a major plus for us so far. I think he will be a big player for us this season barring injury. The goal on Wednesday was a beauty and almost a carbon copy of the one last season against the Celtic. Made all the better after taking a whack in the trossachs seconds before! 😣.

Agree7 Disagree0

That was the first time that i had heard of down below being called the trossachs and found it hillarious when clive said it at the time.
I remember when big Albertz stood up to take free kicks the players in the wall wished they were wearing trossach protectors.

Nice to see an end product. Hope he can keep it up could be a massive player 🤞.

Kent is showing just now what he showed hen he first came in loan

Long may it continue - he’s been playing brilliant so far

Not sure what’s changed

But definitely back toothe quality we seen when he first came on loan.

14 Aug 2020 14:36:24
Was also desperate for us to sign kent, although he wasn't great last season he has improved but still not quite at the same level as when we had him on loan but sure he will get there.

14 Aug 2020 14:43:57
Bang on about massively important this year than he adds goals to his all round game. And he seems to be doing that along with aribo. Hoping the 2 new lads can get off the mark soon, settles the nerves a bit for them.

14 Aug 2020 14:49:56
Perhaps the fact there's no supporters to get on his back after ten minutes is the reason he's discovered some of his loan season form? Think the lack of fans is helping the players in all honesty and hopefully there still won't be any fans when we go to Celtic Park.

14 Aug 2020 14:53:14
I have always said Iits difficult for a player to come in just as window closes or January they need a full pre season.
Hagi also similar re missed five months of season, needs to bulk up a wee bit. His vision is better than anyone else we have
We r now seeing best re Kent and barisic now.

You knew i would agree with you on your post seeker! Too many of our supporters on here, think players are robots and that even our most talented players daren't go off the boil with a mediocre run of form,
enter mr ryan kent. You're quite correct to point out seeker, that i'm indeed a big fan of ryan kent because i've known all along he's an extremely talented kid 👌An old football saying ie. form is temporary class is permanent, simple as that!
There's many reasons as to why even our most talented players can have a mediocre season, but it doesn't mean we castigate them by saying things like £7million a waste of money, one trick pony etc, because that's what a good few said on here and some actually took delight in roasting coldo regarding kent about a waste of money, his goalden boy hasn't got it and so on! For the doubters don't you guys fret because ryan kent has got it alright and will be a massive part of us winning the league or not! He's the most talented player at rangers imho. I want all our players to be at it all the time every second, every minute, but football is never about black or white, with many contributing factors in between,
regarding even a talented players form. Kent will be the rangers player of the year this coming season,
which is my opinion of course, he'll hit between around 10-15 goals for me, with around the same in assists!
Kenty on his game is unplayable and can destroy and disorientate opposing players. We bought him for £7million and we will eventually sell him probably back to an english club for easily between £15-£20million👍Then it will be proven that our original £7million outlay on kent, was indeed money very well spent 👌I've never doubted ryan kent one little bit!

Something that few people comment on is that Kent - and to a certain extent Aribo - draw the opposition players to them, leaving room for others to do damage. The unobserved parts of their game is what make them an important part of the team. If Kent draws two or three players out then even without the ball he is doing his job, which I think most fans who are keen on the game already know, while others merely think he's doing nothing. This season our defensive five or six look solid, so the creative players and scorers will have even more freedom to be adventurous, and like SGL says, at this early stage Kent is the man. However, as I've said before, sooner or later Joe Aribo will be a real Rangers star.

14 Aug 2020 15:46:39
SGL. You nailed it on the head last paragraph, Kenty on his game is unplayable, That was his problem last season, To many games he was missing along with some others. This season he has started well. Long may it continue, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺⚽️😎👍.

14 Aug 2020 16:06:06
I agree with covenanter. For me Aribo actually has more potential. Kent is better now but Aribo has something special about him. I went be surprised to see him EPL bound in a few years to a top 6 side.

14 Aug 2020 17:41:59
I think both ryan kent and joe aribo are extremely talented players but what gives kent the edge for me is he's two footed and much faster than aribo, no sleight on aribo whatsoever intended here fellow bears! Aribo has amazing close control and kent just rips opposition players apart with dribbling with BOTH feet and devestating pace! I honestly predict that the rangers player of the season this season will be between kent, aribo and barisic, with kent prevailing just for me 👍.

14 Aug 2020 17:57:03
100% Seeker 👍
Kent will be a huge player this season. We all know he had the ability but this season so far ( I know it’s only been a few games including pre-season) he’s added consistency and goals.
And I agree with John25 - he’s benefited from a full pre-season this year instead of joining up late.
And SGL is incorrect - if he keeps this form up, he will make us a fortune in the future 👍.

14 Aug 2020 19:13:59
He has started very well, I hope he gets consistent as that’s what we need.

14 Aug 2020 19:40:29
Sorry SGL - that should have said you are correct mate👍.

14 Aug 2020 19:41:56
Think both Kent and Aribo need to produce consistently and in a lot of games for them to be considered great players. Not doubting either’s ability but let’s not get carried away just yet we are only 3 games into the season and nothing has been achieved yet.

14 Aug 2020 22:39:43
Kent, Aribo and Hagi each in their own way will play a big part this year. Don’t forget we also have Morelos (at least for now) and the 2 new boys Itten and Roofe. I think this puts us in a very strong attacking position and kudos to those in charge of recruitment. Time will tell but regardless the progression is clear for me.
