Right lads heres one for you to get your thinking caps on. What one player with the benefit of hindsight would you have liked to stay at Rangers longer than they did? I was asked this last night and the player I always hated watching on MOTD because I thought he still should have been with us was Tugay. I know he was 31 when we sold him but he went on to boss midfield in the EPL for about 6 seasons after leaving us. What a player he was. Undervalued at Rangers at the time and I'd have loved to have seen him here for longer.

Gascoigne, van bronckhorst, and gattuso would've liked to have seen a lot longer.
The days are gone now of players staying at 1 club for longevity, its all about moving to epl.
Think every bear right now would just love 1 of our own to come through the system, be a class talent and actually want to stay at rangers for the long term.

Gabby amato at times didn't look like he knew what he was doing with his skills defenders had no chance.

You will rarely see players staying for 10 + years. EG John Greig. Howe. ver, the grass is not always greener. Some Players have left Rangers and done well but others have sunk without trace.

If you remember Coop, it was time for Gazza to move on that season not only with personal reasons but he was constantly injured. He wasn’t the same player which was proved when he moved and we got the best out of him the in the previous 2 seasons. It was such a shame when he left as like you say a fit Gazza would gave won that league that season ✌ï¸.

It was dick advocaat who instructed david murray that gazza would have no place in his team yately01 and told murray to sell him to middlesborough and get the £4million plus for him, towards his rebuild of rangers at the start of 1998/ 1999 season!
