Joe aribo looks as if he's going to be absolutely crucial for us this season. He looks bigger and stronger.
He has immense skill, very good, fast feet and terrific technique. His goal was a thing of beauty! Our 3 very skillful attacking players in kent, hagi and aribo all looked superb again tonight 👌! Again when brandon barker came on he looked terrific again and long may that continue ðŸ‘! The only big negative tonight was the unfortunate hamstring injury to jermain defoe 😞
We needed another striker pronto before defoe's injury tonight and now have 10 days before we go up to sheepland to get another striker in which is a top priority now! Morelos looks off it atm for me. He doesn't look fit/ sharp at all and he needs to be at it for the sheep a week on saturday. All in all i'm a very happy bear to what i'm seeing from my team atm! 👌ðŸ‘.

And to think that just before lockdown about half of our fans (and many on here) were moaning about what an awful player he was and picking teams where he wasn't even a sub!
As SGL will probably remember, when we signed him I said I had actually seen him play and that he would soon be a star for us. I also said just last week that this season he would would be a star for us. I'll tell you what, Joe Aribo will be a star for us - unless he is targeted by the assassins in our game.

He was an awful player before lock down cov as were the majority of our
players. Don't get me wrong, aribo was superb last night as was kent hagi kamara jack barasic in particular but that's the type of performance we need from these players every game. one performance doesn't make a player. They laided down a marker last night with individual performances now they have to live up to that performanceðŸ‘.

I remember the covenanter and you were bang on the money regarding joe aribo 👌ðŸ‘. Far too many on this site see players as robots and its all black and white when they're judging them!
That's not the way football works guys and i've said as much on here. Like yourself the covenanter, i have continually stuck up for joe aribo on here, in fact i've stuck up for most of our players on here, as IMHO we have very good players at rangers, capable of winning the league!
What some of our supporters forget to remember is, take joe aribo for an example here, he's come up to a massive football club, with massive pressure and expectations that our club and supporters demand and rightly so. But it can't take even the better, more skilful players time to settle at a unique club like the glasgow rangers!
Yes aribo was hot and cold and a bit inconsistent last season, but for anyone who knows the slightest thing about football, you could see aribo was an extremely talented boy 👌! Like you the covenanter and most likely many of us on here, i reckon aribo will prove how very talented he is and i fully expect his performances for us this season to be of a very high standard, consistently.
His talent has never been in question for me.
He's well capable of being the player of the year, as has kent, hagi etc! Everyone of our players are extremely important to us playing at a very high standard week in week out, that's going to take for us to win this league. Regarding aribo, Kent and hagi, i honestly think with the talent between these 3, very attacking, skilful players, WILL IMO go a helluva long way to us winning the league! Each one of these 3 again IMHO, will be the scottish player of the year, for this upcoming season.
So instead of some shouting to get rid of players, just because of certain aspects to reasons at times they're off form, look at the all round big picture, as to maybe why,
before wanting them thrown in the scrap heap!

I agree coldo that one performance doesn't make a player, but also on the other hand mate, a couple of mediocre/ bad performances, also doesn't make them bad players, or not good enough. Everyone can spot if a player is talented or not and joe aribo is one talented boy👌Never had a doubt about it mate! There's always reasons we need to check through and look at, as to why a talented player isn't performing to his best, before at the least run of bad performances, wanting them cast aside and thrown out the door!
That's my thinking/ philosophy anyway!

It wasn't just a couple of mediocre or bad performances coop, it was a regular basis. Many thought ojo would come good. You were also singing the praise of the fridge after lyon but then against nice and again last night he was shaky. Its all about consistency mate in my eyes and that's what's been lacking in a lot of individual performances. Anyway talking of consistency, how good has kamara been recently? With a consistent run of games in the team he will dominate the midfield. ðŸ‘.
