Reading Kai Kennedy been told he can find himself a club and has been sent back to train with academy.
Apparently Bayern, Roma Man City interested.
Where do we draw line on young lads wage demands.
There was a rumour doing rounds he was looking for 5k a week.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd give him 5k a week no problems, the club didn't have a problem giving rossiter, Flanagan, dorrans, Lafferty all huge wages and Kai is much better than that and with unbelievable potential.

14 Jul 2020 21:16:21
I'd agree. A lot of deadwood been on that and more last few years.

14 Jul 2020 21:24:59
Thanks Snell I believe that's the first time we have been in agreement, well first for everything and all that so let's hope it's SG first ever league title.

14 Jul 2020 23:38:38
It's OK giving him the 5k then the next up in coming players want it were does it stop before we know it any good youth prospect demands more money than they are worth out of fear another club takes them we can't afford to do that a see the point in previous players mentioned on good money but these are proven first team players in other teams before they come to rangers so we can't compare if the boy gets greedy we can't do much about it prove your worth as a first team player and earn your money that's my opinion.

14 Jul 2020 23:38:46
rumour also is demanded more playing/ pathway to a first team playing schedule. cash in or he goes to cfc where the smoke is being blown.

14 Jul 2020 23:53:59
He can get first team wages when he proves himself to be a first team player. If not then cheerio plenty more who want to be here and work to earn that.

15 Jul 2020 08:09:56
The boy is talented no doubt but he should be nowhere near 5k a week, start giving young boys that kind of money before they have even impacted the first team then they have no incentive to improve.

If that is what he is after then good on Rangers for not giving him that, let him go to Man City where they will give him his 5k and then some probably but enjoy the next 5 years of youth team football and/ or loan moves to here, there and everywhere before eventually being released and playing out your career in league 2 in England.

in my opinion we have a better player in Nathan Young-Coombes to come through anyway.

15 Jul 2020 08:37:56
I was just going to post the same Eric Blair. You'll see him signing for them next. Fine, he can jog on for me.

15 Jul 2020 08:42:07
considering Ian Black was on 10k a week Kennedy is a bargain at half the price.

15 Jul 2020 08:45:08
And before you know it you have the same scenario as down South, young pros on big wages who think they have made it before they have even kicked a ball in anger for the first team.
Not for me. It's an honour and privilege to play for the Famous Glasgow Rangers not a divine right because you have talent.

15 Jul 2020 10:12:22
To be fair to lad he will turn out to be a good player
but he will only achieve this if he stays at rangers and gets first team opportunity to play football.
Going down south or to a bigger club than rangers will be a mistake on the lads advisers part stay hear and play for the club you support should be the advice he is getting.
But then agents are only in it for the money and ill advise young players to make these moves.
But if rangers rate this lad as highly as they say then efforts should be maid to give the lad a fair wage.
We have squad players that have contributed hardly anything to the team taking up places on bench and they never play these places should be freed up and give our youth players a chance.
The lad should be offerd 2/ 3k a week with incentives in his contract we as a club should be looking to develop these players and get them if the first team to play football and signed on long contracts with a fair wage.

I have no issue players leaving, agents turn thier heads.
We signed Nathan Coombes, holler, Graham from Ross county and trying to get young boy Weston from Blackpool.
It’s how it works
All players should look at billy big boots Wilde, east Stirling now.
