I get that we need 1st 11 signings and not bench warmers but. if Morelos stays and Gerrard continues with one number 9, do we just not sign any strikers then? If we want to change tactics either for a particular game or during a game I’d rather have Dykes up front with a Morelos than Defoe and Morelos.

Wouldn’t mind seeing 2 strikers in a partnership up top some games . I don’t understand your comment alloager? Do you think we can’t sign a better striker than Morelos? I like Morelos but we have had better strikers before him ðŸ‘.

Would love to see us do the same as tims and go 352 formation. After we beat them and new year. They changed after the break to 2 up top and blew everybody away.

Bgate, I agree we’ve had better strikers than Morelos, Mols, Negri to name but two. I just think we would only sign a better striker if Morelos actually left. I would sign a dykes or cosgrove as an option in a 2 up front but probably wouldn’t play that way in Europe or against celtic. My point was really just that there’s nothing wrong with signing a player that’s not a 1st 11 as long as it’s different to what we have.

Lennon himself said he gambled by going 3-5-2 as he had no answer to Rangers and couldn't see us dropping points.
Consistency, individual errors and loss of form was our downfall after the winter break, not tactics.
