Transfer window now open we need to get the players in pronto it may be a wee bit harder as some leagues still to finish but we need 1st team starters in for the start of the league.

How many times am I going to have to say the same things? We are NOT going to have a load of new players brought in before the season starts. As you’ve just pointed out, it’s less than 3 weeks until the season starts, however it’s almost 3 MONTHS until the transfer window closes. We will be working on deals throughout the window. Of course in a perfect world we would love everyone signed prior to 1st August but that just ain’t going to happen this year with everything that’s happened. No point in rushing in a few signings for players that aren’t our main targets just because we might be able to get them before the league starts. Rather wait and get the right players. It’s a long season, we are just going to have to be patient and not start panicking just because we don’t have 3 new first team players by the end of July!

I agree bgate, we can’t wait until October the 5th, and in no way do I think that we will. I’d just like everyone to understand that this window will be different to most. Usually it opens 6 or 7 weeks before the next season starts and usually all other leagues are also finished and all other windows open as well, meaning all clubs are focused on transfers at the same time. This year it’s opened less than 3 weeks prior to the season starting and with a number of leagues throughout Europe (not just England as some folk seem to think) still being played or just finishing up, which means a whole lot of clubs won’t even be focusing on transfers at this point (or allowing their players to focus on them either) .
What I’m saying is we won’t be able to have all our business concluded and new players in by 1st August so folk will have to stop focusing on that. We may have 1 more in by then, maybe another during August.
For example, let’s say Morelos is to leave (which there is a good chance of), his likely destination will be England or Italy. Both their windows won’t open until 1st August. We’d then have to use the money we get from him to finance a replacement (or maybe two) That will take time, therefore those players won’t come in until at least August maybe even September. All I’m saying is we have to be realistic.
I hate to tell you, Mr Gerrard and Mr Wilson aren’t going to be rushed Into making signings just because folk on Rangers banter are demanding it.

Steven Gerrard and ross wilson can't/ won't be rushed into making signings, when a certain number of our fans are demanding it! You're spot on Gers1978 and our management team have to get their signings spot on and thus have to take their time.
Patience guys, as i've no doubt gerrard will sign quality players 👌.

Oh my god! When and where did I say we aren’t going to sign anyone or stick with the team we have just now KJA? I’ve stated numerous times I think we will bring in 3 maybe 4 first teamers. A defensive mid, a right sided forward, and a central striker (Probably 2 if Morelos leaves) and maybe cover at CB now. All I’m saying is they won’t all be signed for the season starting on 1st August!
As long as what we have just now is enough to see off Aberdeen in the first game (Which hopefully it is), it should be good enough to cope with the next few games after that too. The European games won’t start until September and as we know we don’t play them until game 11. That gives us time to bring in players during the window, not have to rush them all in for end July.

We need to get our options for this league challenge in place by August 1st, we have a difficult match up first where 3 points is a must, nothing less, too many times in the past, we've blown things up in Aberdeen.
