Guys, I honestly hope that our players do the talking on the park and not in the papers. I listen to liverpool and man city staff and they have nothing but respect for each other. I feel our players say the wrong things as a lot on here do as well. Let's not kid ourselves on here! the east end mob are a good side and the quicker we accept it the quicker we can catch them. No more talk lads we need to walk the walk.

I agree to an extent fauldhoose bear that celtic have a bit more quality in their squad than ours at present mate. Where I honestly slightly differ from you mate is that i truly don't think celtic are as good as some would have us believe. I think against them since gerrard became rangers manager, we've most definitely proved that mate. If we consistently over the full season,
find the form we did before the winter break, i believe we'll win the league! Its against the the sit in smaller teams we have to find a way to get the 3 points, at all costs. Yes coops I agree we need to be more consistent but nothing irks me more than players saying silly things like ojo did with the best squad nonsense. They have honestly got a better squad than us. It's very close with top 11 players but they have more depth.
I hope the players say yes celtic are a good side and that's the level we must get to rather than say oh we are better than them as it just puts more pressure on the team.

It's true, I wish that players wouldn't get drawn on these things by the mhedia up here. Anything they say is always taken out of context. Leave the bumming to the lurgan bigot and his usual crew (crispie, lego and the hollicom cheerleaders such as mutton, fartson etc) and then do a Walter Smith and use what they say to our advantage. Worked a treat for us. Coops is right, we need to learn how to get the vital wins over teams that sit in. The games against the anthill mhob will take care of themselves. We've shown we can outplay them and win comfortably. It's the slip ups against the rest that have caused problems. We must find a way to try and win every game.

Not disagreeing with what you say Supercoop but how do you think Gerrard can cure the problem of breaking down teams who park the bus against us? It can't just be about taking chances, but also having a creative midfield spark to make openings. Maybe Hagi will provide that missing piece?

I don’t buy into this idea which is constantly banded around that the only reason we don’t win the league is because the smaller teams sit in against us. Also that we are clearly better than Celtic. It goes without saying that the smaller teams don’t just sit in against us they also sit in against Celtic and because they have more goal scorers and threats from midfield they are better placed to break these teams down.
Celtic have another gear whereas Rangers are having to up their game too often. I don’t think there is a lot in it and if we can get the 3 class additions the title is possible. Hence the reason why we must get quality in the door.

Doiger - Hagi could well be that missing piece, provided Gerard plays him in the no.10 role. Don't think he's suited to right wing which is where he was playing before lockdown.

Let's hope Gerrard plays Hagi his best position. If he is half as good as his father was he'll be great for us. I think Arfield can offer more if played in his best position. We need goals from midfield to take the weight of Morelos (if he stays! ) .

I think our main problem is that we don't have seasoned trophy winners in our squad. Once we start picking up some silverware then you will see a stronger winning mentality and improvement.
