I'm pretty new here but can't believe how negative people can be towards.
Tav. I agree that he isn't perfect but gets nailed for every mistake (morelos doesn't even tho he couldn't score in a barrel of fannies against the unwashed)
Goldson. does he really make so many mistakes? . I don't think so.
Get a grip gers and back the team on the park. you can see what negative effects it has on players. especially tav!

Goldson does make a lot of mistakes yes. tav got away with it when he was scoring alot. But now the goals have dried up for him.

The fact is Tav is the rangers captain so to say never a rangers captain! Well I’m sure he wears the captains band. Also on your point of a poor defender did we not concede 20 goals in the league! ( same as Celtic ) does that not show you that our defence wasn’t the problem? Maybe it was not finishing teams off, not scoring enough goals and tip taping the ball around outside of the box. This may be hard to hear but Rb is not our problem yes Tav has made mistakes but what about the rest of the team? Also what do you expect for 250k we have a Rb who is captain and disliked by some of or fans for what?

Coplandbear. You are right. Our defence wasn't the problem last season, it was our inability to kill games off. Too much dependence on Morelos. Get young Shankland in beside El Buffalo plus Defoe in the squad and replace the ageing Davis (great player though he has been) with young Docherty.

Doiger we do need more goals from midfield I hope Aribo comes on more this season I think he had a good start to his rangers career. For me a good pre season from him jack and Arfield they will hard to get out of the team. I think Davis and Kamara will be the back ups I don’t see McCrorie or Docherty getting much game time. I’m not a huge fan of Docherty but if he gets his chance I will be 100 % behind him As I like to give everyone a chance instead of slagging them off. Maybe not all players are rangers quality but if you look back at any rangers team who has won the league not all of them are amazing football players. Some times you need some spfl players to win you games and some quality players to make the difference in the big games and Europe. I wouldn’t mind seeing Shankland but I don’t want rangers to give Dundee United anything! So it’s a 50/ 50 with him lol 😂.

Yes biff it was oor morelos, but what I'm saying is that whenever he misses a chance it's all forgotten but not tav. I think he should be sold personally but while he's her give him the backing eh? I also think that we lost the league because whatever happened to the team in Dubai made morelos form nosedive. He should have been dropped and given Defoe a shout.

Tav and Goldson bashers never address the facts, they just want to share their opinions.
Facts are.
1. Our defence conceded the same number of goals as the team who won the league.
2. Therefore, our defenders cannot be blamed for us falling short in the league.
3. Our midfielders did not score as many goals as the team who won the league
4. Our manager and his back room staff get paid a heck of a lot of money because they are the experts.
5. Our manager and coaching team think Tav is the best candidate from the current squad to be our captain
6. Our manager and coaching team choose to pick Tav and Goldson for almost every game because they think they are the best options from our current squad

DK19 - spot on, Midfield is our problem. Over a season we don't have the quality in mid to protect our defense and chip in with goals on a consistent basis. Therefore we loose silly goals and struggle to break down a 11 man defense. Just need better players in key positions. don't know any team that was built around a right back or won or lost anything because they had a great or poor right back.

Just nonsense. Tactics and formation are overplayed rhetoric to the punter, just utter BS. Looking back from now to the beginning of history not one formation or tactic has been consistent in wining anything or they would all copy that model and improve it. It just doesn't happen. Players have to produce on the pith end of. Play to your strengths is the only consistent attribute you will find over all the years in every competition for winners whether it be ugly or beautiful. We are the second best team in Sco no doubt but no matter what tactic and formation we play we would probably not have won the league without some serious luck as you've already said. So better players are required.

If we adapted our formation and tactics relevant to the opposition we wouldn't need to rely on luck. We play one up top week in week out, we are forced wide and then hit aimless crosses in to no one. At ibrox where we have space is fine but when we play away we drop far too many points because we play against teams that sit back on tight pitches. If we adapted our tactics and formation to accomodate a TM we would win more points. Walter smith done it for years with boyd jelavic etc. TJBB its got everything to do with how we set upðŸ‘.
