I would agree in the same order as you DOIGER👍.

Slim Jim
Gazza
Dalglish.

Baxter Best Gazza.

I had the privelage of seeing all three in action, all different styles of player and I would have loved to see Best in a Rangers shirt. For me Baxter was the best left half that Scotland will ever produce. No one modern day comes close to Best in his position, I remember seeing him destroy Scotland at Hampden. As for Gazza, he was the nearest player at Rangers that I have seen to Baxter. Three absolute geniuses with a football. I simply can't separate them but if I had to then Baxter would come top. Dalglish was a good player as he proved at Liverpool but not in the same class as Gazza, Best and Baxter. There are other quality players as well for me, John Whyte at Spurs back in the 1960's, Rodney Marsh, Sir Stanley Matthews, only saw him in the twilight of his career and he still looked a quality player.

Best, Best and Best! Seriously, Best, Gazza and Baxter.
My dad was a centre half played with and against world class players in both Scotland and England. He was too old to play against Best (who he thought was phenomenal) but his top 3 were Tom Finney, Duncan Edwards and Billy Steel.

Best Gazza Dalglish are my 3 which I seen play in the flesh. I had seen George Best play on a few occasions, But remember going to watch Best play for the Hibs against Celtic at Easter Road with a Hibs mate. Standing on the terrace all I heard was Cunny ya wee Orange B. Everyone was looking about for this guy called Cunny. It was only at halftime I realised It was Celtic guys I knew from my home town off Broxburn standing behind us. We still have a laugh about it to this day when I go back to Scotland to see family. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺⚽️😎👍.

Gazza
Durrant
Cooper

In that order. For me if Durrant had not been assaulted at Pittodrie that day could have gone on to be one of the best our country ever produced, but that year or so pre injury I thought he was unplayable.

Cambiger- I remember that game, that challenge on Durrant as if it were yesterday. Durrant was simply magnificent, he would waltz by players as if they weren't there. He also had a great shot on him. At the time there was a lot of focus and attention on him. Your absolutely correct Durrant would of went far if it wasnt for that horrific tackle. I wonder where he would of ended up. Such a shame. Fantastic talent.

Best, Gazza and Dalgleish. I was behind the goal at the San Jose Earthquakes vs Fort Lauderdale Strikers game when Best scored that wonder goal. still keep thinking of that goal 39 years later, wonderful skill.

I was up at the sheepdome the day that useless piece of s**t simpson crushed durranty's knee with a horrendous tackle. He was some attacking midfielder ian durrant and as a few of us will know liverpool at the time were very interested in him, 'till that injury that day. I was also told juventus were watching him closely as well. He would have been close to the gascoigne mould, if neil simpson, hadn't crippled him!

14 Jun 2020 15:14:50
To me dagliesh was a genius at liverpool and I would put him top. Best was amazing but only when he was in the mood. Gazza was best player in the world in world cup 90. Imagine a team with they 3 in it.

14 Jun 2020 15:16:44
SHL, I was supposed to be going to that game also but was asked to work all day (double time) . I still stayed at home with my folks and remember my dad telling me about Durrants injury when I got home. I like many many others was absolutely gutted. Do you know, I've watched that tackle once and that was enough.

14 Jun 2020 15:29:24
Two players not mentioned from my early days following Rangers, are Davy Wilson and MacMillan.

14 Jun 2020 15:49:01
SHL, Nottingham Forest were also very interested in Durrant and had been keeping a close eye on him ( according to my dad ) . Remember Forest were a premiership team at that time. However i wasn't aware of Juventus interest.

Guys I agree others woulda been interested but at that time I genuinely believe we were the biggest club in Britain. Attracting Souness, Butch, Wilkins, Steven etc etc . There’s no way he would have left for another British side. A few years later after start of Prem things changed .

14 Jun 2020 16:56:51
Gazza, Gerrard, Bale, in my era I’d say three best British players I’ve seen, obviously Mcoist n Hately ain’t too far away too 👍👍👍.

14 Jun 2020 17:52:18
George Best was, by some distance, the best ever British born player. Baxter and Gascoigne would be next. There is then a whole group of greats who were wonderful to watch but lacked the absolute genius of the three at the top.
