According to media reports this morning, it may be a straight fight between lyle taylor V lyndon dykes, that rangers sign to become their 3rd striker and adding to already there alfredo morelos and jermain defoe!
In various media reports billy dodds gives a glowing reference on dykes and chris erskine who's played beside both dykes and taylor, stated any the two of them would be very good signings for rangers. If it was simply between these two strikers fellow bears, which one of the two, would you prefer rangers to sign? 🤔

If our three for next year is Fredo, Defoe and one of those then don't fancy our chances. We need goals and there won't be enough between that lot.

its getting goals from the others that's important. we are too reliant on Morelos or Defoe. we need goals from the wingers or midfield to make the difference.

We need 4 strikers, as we should be playing 442 in the spl. We need two big TM, if we go 433 again then we won't win the leagueðŸ‘.

Ceferin has said that games that have nit started ie no first leg will be played over one game. He then said likelihood is al. Games ties need to be the same.

Fredo scored 29 goals in 46 games this season.
Defoe scored 17 goals in 32 games this season.
I think we do need a couple of different options up front this coming season but goals from our strikers hasn't been our biggest problem.
Goals from midfield
Defending better as a team. If we can improve on these things we'll have a good season.
If we change formation I can't see it being 4-4-2 that often.

Correct MrGrumpy. Tactics weren't the only issue.
Too many players returned after the winter break out of form.
The defence conceded too many soft goals down to individual errors.
Too reliant on our main strikers for goals with our wingers and midfielders letting us down.
And not enough leaders in the team when the going for tough which was a disappointment considering you have McGregor, Davis, Jack, Arfield etc.

If we don't play 2 up top then we will drop daft points because we can't break teams down and we will lose the league. Its quite simple. A quality TM is a mustðŸ‘.

There was an old saying when we had the likes of mccoist and hateley etc. The saying was that if your 2 main strikers score 50+ goals between them, you won't be far away from winning the league. So snell what was that post of yours about? 🤔🤔.

My post was about Fredo being first choice, backed up by Defoe who has done a good job but offers nothing different if plan A doesn't work. Then a third choice that's hardly prolific. If we go in with those three as only options and keep one up top we likely end up with the same result, which if neither of you have noticed is second and miles off the pace. It didn't work this year so what makes you think it will next?

Also Defoe is another year older and do you think he has the legs to be a top back up for another whole season of 50/ 60 games? They scored 25 between them in the league this season, where they going to get the other 25 in the few games that were left to take them to this magic fifty?

Two strikers up top won't guarantee we'll be able to break down teams.
Having the option of a TM in squad is a good idea though.

Hi guys, quick question, all this talk on strikers for next season just now, how confident are you that Morelos and Defoe will provide the goals required, to my mind, it's all down to the feeding of our strikers from the Middle and wings, that's where we lost the league this season. If you look at Celtic, they had 5 or 6 players scoring vital goals in tight games, we had an occasional goal from midfield and out wide. We need horses for courses to win this league, and that means players with SPL experience, anything from England or Europe that works for us is a bonus.
