Watched a few Gers Documentarys on you tube tonight and so strange that the people interviewed were brazen talking about how the bears need to win the European Cup and to think where we've been the past 7/ 8 years if our fans said that now we'd be laughed out the place but how did things turn so bad not only for us but for any Scottish team just getting into the group stage of the CL is like winning a cup final and I really hope its not the case that in a few years even getting into the EL group is being treated the same UEFA have more or less abandoned their smaller associations and everything is so focused on the England's, Germanys and Spains of the world it even feels like the Italian's have been pushed to the side and left behind the way things are going atm?

The football authorities are a lot to blame along with the big clubs. They created the conditions for this to happen. The CL will be for the elite clubs from big leagues. I don’t know what the solution is to this as it is all driven by money. Maybe a European league gives big teams like rangers from a smaller league a chance. Certainly rangers have boosted the UEFA coefficient in the last few years and this might give us an opening if such a league is established.
