I think wee need a Ferguson or arteta type and calibar centre mid to dictate games and slow them down see out games would help and obvious one but much better qaulity on right side of attack than ojo and proper right back for the first team and maybe 3 or 4 squad players is what wee need to beat them to our trophy 🇬🇧.

Its consistency that's causing us the problems. The majority of our first team players are capable of winning the league. We've proved we can beat them, its the consistency in the so called smaller games that's costing us. If we had the same concentration we had against celtic make no bones about it, we'd be capable of winning the league!

I agree john25 starting with an experienced CB that will walk in and command the back fore no questions, there’s not a leader in our current back fore. If Kamara is to leave then he needs replaced by someone with bags of energy and loves getting involved but clever with it, Morelos is Undoubtedly going so we need two strikers and hopefully we’ll complete the signing of Hagi but these signings need to be pushing the current players into fringe players, also has anyone see much of Ross Maccrorie at right back for Pompey I can’t say I have, but he seemingly done quite well and could be the answer at RB for us if we can move tav on.

SGL sorry I like Ryan Jack but he’s nowhere near a Barry Ferguson, Ferguson was a real leader of men if you weren’t pulling your weight he’d be right in your face getting you told. Jack doesn’t have the balls for that, it’s what we’re missing a leader a captain!

I never said ryan jack was better than barry ferguson. I stated that ryan jack can run the tempo of a game for us. I was a massive fan of baz and rate him as the best scottish midfielder to come out of scotland in the last 25 years, so i would never say jack was better or on a par with ferguson!

We need to stop reminiscing and comparing players we had in the past when pots of money was spent signing them and on their wages. I'd love an Albertz, Hateley, Laudrup, etc but we can't afford that type of player now. The poster who said consistency was our problem is right.
Having players like Morelos getting himself banned didn't exactly help. We still have a top-notch goalkeeper and the like of Katic, Edmundson, Jack, Barisic, Hagi and Morelos are very good players indeed. I'd bring Docherty back from loan and bring Hastie into the squad. I also wouldn't be too quick to send Kamberi back to his club as Defoe, great player though he is, will get more injuries as he gets older. Jury is out on Arfield and Davis.

Like most of us and assuming alfredo does move on, i would like us to sign lyndon dykes + another striker. I would like us to sign leeds utd left back barry douglas and hearts young left back aaron hickey, as i honestly think borna barisic may be sold (hope i'm wrong) . I'd give greg docherty a chance along with jake hastie on the right, as i do think hastie is a player. Obviously hope we sign hagi permanently and i would also take a punt in signing lawrence shankland from scumdee utd. Martin Boyle the hibs right winger could be another shout!
