I've been reading the forums with interest. Its clear we can't sack SG. We don't have the money to pay him off. However. If today he doesn't make wholesale changes and by that I mean gives some guys a chance like your Jones, Stewart and maybe some young guns the fans will turn big time. Or even if we get beat today he won't be able to stand the heat up here. I find it strange on a forum that everyone can see that we can't break teams down. If Livi come today and sit in we will struggle. We must attack teams, more so at home. We have also got to go 2 up top. At the first whistle let's go for it. It seems that SG can only get one good half from the team at times. Why? I really don't know. I know he won't but I'd get Goldson and Tav out that team. Give the captaincy to RJ. Make a big decision. Tav, s not a leader and again I don't want to single him out. It's not his fault he's been given the captaincy. LB worries me. We should have bought or loaned in a back up last month. Halliday can't play there. Morelos can't play alone up front the now. His confidence is gone and we need to get it back big time.

Now what if we play with SG usual tactics and players today and win comfortably (like we were doing before Xmas)?
Morelos has scored heaps of goals, playing for us as a lone striker. Confidence gone? Are you a physiologist as well as a better football tactician than our manager? 🤔.

Mr Grumpy we've played the same way for almost the last 8 games. Played terrible, beaten by Killie, beaten by Hearts, lucky to beat Hibs etc etc.Do you want us to do well? Stop 10 in a row?

When Tav was out the team we were ineffectual down the right and lost about 50% service from crosses.
Give the captaincy to Jacko? Again am I one of few that criticises his inconsistency, he and Kamara have not been at their best either and don’t deserve at present to be in the team let alone captain it. And when he has worn the armband, how well do you see him driving his team on, for me - he doesn’t really.
I’ll keep optimistic and leave the strategy to our management team.

So Andy. We continue as is? In a captain you need a leader, inspiration and someone to drive the team on. For me Tav doesn't have that. Have you seen his crossing lately? Its terrible. Again I don't want to just single him out but Tav alone won't get us out of this mess. I think him being the captain is too much on his shoulders. Take the pressure of him.

See this is what you constantly do as1974, post the same thing over and over again. You don't rate SG, don't rate his tactics, don't rate the majority of the players. Is that really constructive🤔 This is all just your opinion, your entitled to it but it doesn't mean you are correct.
I, like many others don't agree with your opinion. The season lasts longer than 8 games. The majority of our players aren't sh*t.

Don’t disagree with the suggestion as1974 Of relieving pressure, freshening up etc. I personally think the team is better with tav in it, I also am of the opinion that McGregor or Jack shouldn’t be captain, personally if fit and playing week in week out (maybe a few years younger) I’d have Davis captain the team.
Arfield could be a shout as I DO see him being vocal, looks like a motivator as he encourages (again I’m basing this on lip reading and gestures) .
Concern about wholesale changes is that it goes horribly wrong, the pressure for the entire team is knowing we have to win every match, time for the entire team to stand up and be counted and at least put up a fight for it.

I am not football manager/ coach, nor have ever claimed to be. Am sorry but if someone on here posts something I disagree with, I'll reply ( it's what this forum is for)
You seem almost offended that I and others on here might want to trust/ believe in the manager, coaching staff and players.
You mention facts (8 games, 2 defeats) but when I mention facts there irrelevant🤔.

So AS1974, you'd play 2 naive, inexperienced CH's when the team is going through a bad spell? Who are both prone to mistakes themselves?
You'd give the captaincy to Jack? Why? Because he's a bluenose? Even though he's been off form recently as well?
You want to bring in development team players as well - who are you dropping? What manager in his right mind would do this?
Morelos can't play up front alone? Maybe it's the service from the rest of the team considering everyone has been rank rotten!
And you say forget Xmas, it's gone. Well the last few games have technically also gone! So we go again.

@Andy. I think that Tav is our best option at Rb but I think before he became the captain he was a better player hence why I suggested taking the captaincy off him to perhaps relieve some pressure.
@NrGrumpy. Well that's a total cop out. Not everyone agrees with everyone. Course they don't but I'm asking for your opinion what you would change. It's not a difficult question. Your quick enough to shoot down my comments so what's yours?

Because overall Jack has been fantastic for the club. Tav hasnt.
I don't care if he's a blue nose or not and he's just back from injury.
Morelos has scored 1 goal in 6 games I think it is. he's had chances so it's not always down to service. We rely far too much on him. He needs more support.
What FACTS have you gave me?
Why not give people a chance? I keep saying this if people aren't playing for the Jersey or the team then drop them and give someone else a chance to show they are!

No AS1974, Jack was fantastic before Xmas like everyone else - you know that period you want to forget. He's been as bad as everyone else since. Worse if you think he's captain material. Should be not be driving the team on?

You like facts. We've won 77% of our games in the league. The defence has let in 16 goals so far this season.
Have the games since Xmas break been disappointing, yes.
Not winning the league this season ( which does look unlikely) doesn't mean we can't/ won't win the league next season and stop 10 in a row.

Now your putting works in my mouth. When did I say Alfredo can't play up top on his own? I said we rely on him too much and needs more support.
I wanted to replace Tav? I said he's the best Rb but should be stripped of the captaincy.
% means nothing! Stopping Celtic is our priority.
Disappointing since Xmas? More like disastrous! The league is done for the 2nd season in a row. So do we risk giving SG (rookie manager) another season? Not for me no.

The team I mentioned above is our strongest side I think we have. That's who I would play (if fit) .

1974, tav is never quality, polster is a better player, and can cross the ball, patterson is also better than tav but sg fears playing him because of his inexperience/ age, i think goldson should be dropped and replaced by edmunson.
