I read Tav's comments yesterday, what is really concerning was what he told was said in the dressing room at half time, quote " keep a clean sheet we win the game " WTF, I bet you over at the midden at half time the quotes in the dressing room would have been score another 1 or 2 and put this game to bed. That's the difference, it's the whole teams mentality including the coaching staff, unbelievable glass half full, hang in there guys, that's our problem, look in the mirror Rangers, you must see this is where it's going wrong . fundamentally rotten to the core of the team.

Agree10 Disagree0

That’s part of the mentality problem right there! Coming straight from the captain.

Bmf, when you look back at the performances even before Stevie's arival we rarely put games to bed and even lose when 2 or so up.

Someone somewhere in the coaching staff must have instilled that mentality in the squad.

Whoever they are must be weeded out and removed before we get humiliated any further.

As far as I'm concerned if true then they should be fired immediately without compensation for industral misconduct.

said it on here before, but I think the occasional change to a 3-5-2 for example would be beneficial - other teams have the current system sussed.

Been lurking on here for some time. Shamed into posting by Ed001 comments on those of us who prefer to read (nowadays) .
Good posts lads would just add on Tavernier that he is one of the more exciting footballers but he had a good relationship with our little Portugese winger who often moved back to fill in the gap the "captain" left surging forward.
A lot of criticism for young wingers like Hastie but being honest how much of this is due to the full back occupying the winger's (showing my age- wide midfielder) position?
Talented footballer no doubt and real attacking threat so why not move Tavernier forward and bring in Polster or young Patterson to right back?
Mr Gerrard in my opinion is the right man but if only he could get some help from someone like Walter then he might
- Make substitutions far earlier
- Appoint an inspirational captain
- Place in team on form not cause they are your favourites
- Use the squad more fully

And don't settle for one nil go for two, three and more

Its difficult at the moment but remember big Marvin - "keep believing"

Bluebilly - “someone in the coaching staff”? ITS THE MANAGER! Get him fired!

Wecome and good post Lurky .

Unfortunately don't think Stevie or the players come on here for advice.

Perhaps if they did and used some suggestions (no mine i don't have any experience) we would no be in the state we are in at the moment.

Cheers.

Swagman, I was once a manager not in football tho but it's the same in every business, the manager is the puppet and scapegoat who is controlled by the directors.

I'm pretty sure Steve is the same and the coaching staff other than him have the main say in what happens, trust my experience mate.

Do you say it's only the training coaching side the manager handles then bluebilly? .
