IMO. changing gaffers now would be a mistake next season is critical in our history but I think SG has to realise his own failings I've said since day one his subs are too late in the game to really impact it
But at least he's been in position to understand the magnitude of next season
Some of the players need a right good look at themselves the tactics used to play them off park are the same that's not working now Yes he should be looking at tweaks but why wholesale changes to our style?
If you look a pep guardiloa are we saying teams worked him out is he tactically inept because Man City are not firing in the league.

I think it depends if the board sit down with SG and have an open air chat, if he can admit he needs to have more than one tactic and willing to change when necessary the yes, he stays. If however he says he is playing the same system then he should agree to leave as it's not working and won't work over a full season again next season.
I hope he can see his failings but at the moment results and performances are not suggesting he has and his managerial inexperience is showing up big time.

Good thoughtful post Blue blue sea!
Of course gerrard has made mistakes and must rectify them. No bear can pretend he hasn't made mistakes, but imo we've improved under him especially with the mess he inherited! I'd without a doubt give him next season to try and stop them in their quest, if we don't manage to stop 9iar this season. Admitedly its going to be extremely difficult to stop them winning the league this season now. We fight on!
