A cousin of mine from england was up visiting over the weekend (hes a chelsea fan) and something he said caused a bit of heat as i didn't agree with him. he said if any team currently playing in the english premiership was to play a season in the spl they would win the league with ease. obviously there are teams that would stroll it but surely rangers would give some of them a run for their money. burnley brighton etc. what do you lot think.

Aberdeen gave Burnley a good game over 2 legs in Europe a season or two ago so I don’t agree. Any EPL team would obviously at worst be competing for 3rd, but for the teams in the bottom half, I don’t buy that they would come up here and just dominate.
I suppose the logical flip of that argument is that if the Old Firm played a season in England they would both be relegated? Wouldn’t see that happening either. Lower mid-table finishes for both I would think - 12th-15th kind of range.

He may be right but if Rangers and Celtic moved to England (which I don’t think will ever happen) they would then share in the huge wealth and then because of the size of both clubs they would attract top class players to play in front of huge passionate crowds they probably have a bigger world wide fan base as any club in the EPL so to compare the two leagues as it stands in unfair.

Absolute no chance. The likes of Newcastle are terrible. Limped there way passed oxford over 2 legs.

Liverpool chelsea city spurs definitely. Man u arsenal probably although think us and celtic could compete with both at the moment. Prob no for the rest.

total nonsense, teams like newcastle, brighton, bouremouth. burnley would have no chance, either would west ham shelf utd etc. The best player at norwich is a Celtic reject.

Rangers and Celtic top 8 in EPL for 2 or 3 seasons then would start to challenge for top 4.
Both miles/ years off Man City and Liverpool.

If they brought there own refs then they would do well but it wouldn't be a walk in the park. If we used our refs then who knows.

Rangers took 4 points out of 6 from porto and Celtic took 6 out of 6 v lazio. Not a chance in hell every prem league team would do that.

and put it another way if any of them came up here and had to settle with our income they would all be bankrupted within a month.
