Id go with Patterson thought he looked the part granted wasn't against great opposition but he was one of the better performers on that day for me. Offers pretty much the same as Tav in terms of his overlapping runs and driving forward.

Dsgersfan surely for that reason then it should be paterson. Offers a lot more going forward than flanno. in theory we shouldn't have much defending to do they will try to sit back and hit us on break.

I would select the back four we intend picking for the next few games, so Flannigan for me. I thought people were a bit OTT about Patterson and his performance in the cup game, I thought he did ok and got into some decent areas but his delivery into the box was poor. I do think the lad has potential but its not the time to be taking chances with youngsters, in the cup fine.

I'd have Flanagan as it's Hearts at Tynecastle next. We need Flanagan up to speed as I wouldn't fancy the boy at Hearts. Every game is must win. Take no chances. I will be gobsmacked if Flanagan doesn't start tonight!
