Reading about jermain defoe this morning and how much HE wants to finish his career at rangers. that's superb news for us and i'm very confident that once his bournemouth contract finishes in june, it will be practically a formality, that he signs permanently with rangers to end his playing career with us. Then he'll more than likely be our striker coach full time.
The wee thoroughbred has fallen massively in love with our club and our supporters, who absolutely adore him! Even at his tender age of 37 years old now, you can see he most definitely looks after himself and his the physique of a 27 year old. He's a model pro to all at ibrox and is a massive reason why morelos is getting better and better. No wonder learning from one of the best english strikers, of modern times. Defoe is a natural in front of goal and a goalscoring machine, STILL!

SGL, great to hear regarding JD but in all honesty there are not many players who haven't enjoyed the Rangers experience. You hear of players leaving then regretting it. What's not to like?

Lots of them still love the club. Its s high pressure environment though, being expected to win every game. Been a good few good players just haven't been able to handle the pressure.

Yea macdow . Defoe is worth every penny, and keeps himself prime ready to go when called upon. don't think that’s a fair . realistic or honest assessment of the guys efforts for our team .
Are you a smellies supporter by any chance? . Not belittling your opinion of which you are of course entitled to o, but it would make your post seem a little more sensible.

Most players that done a good job for us seem to fall in love with our club, and speak well of rangers fc, fans, everything, most say its the first result they look for at the weekend still. your part about defoe, what more can be added, the guys amazing, always has been a great goal scorer.

John25 , i think he could sign a pre contract in january, but i think the club will let his contract run out, so as it doesn't cost us, that way it would only be a contract signing on fee we paid defoe, and ide imagine its all been spoke about and sorted out, because defoe has stated he loves our club, and wants to end his carrer at ibrox.

Herewego, , maybe if we ask him to sign a pre contract, his parent club, could start looking for a wee transfer for him, with the thought of recalling him, i always thought that was the way it worked, maybe ime wrong mate,
