There's a good piece in the record about tav not talking to the media after the game the other night. I agree, it shows what he's made of by ducking out of there without answering some tough questions. I'm not one for slating one of our own but he has to hold his hands up and say something surely?

You do realise its not the players who decide who will n won't do the media duties? Some folk on here will slate our players for the simplest of things. Infuriating.

I do think the guy has a valid point though and is probably just echoing what some of us feel, which is tav is not captain material, and I get SG sees him every day and is better placed to make that call, but it's wee things like the other night that reinforce (for me anyway) that feeling that he could have and should have said something straight after. Maybe he was told not to, who knows but in that past strong leaders have come out afterwards and held their hands up and offered some kind of explanation.
Anyway just thought it was a decent take on the situation, on to today's game and upwards we go.

I agree, a real captain would front up and own his mistakes, not send his teammates out to make excuses for him.

Just thinking back, I can’t remember Gough or Butcher ever making a mistake playing for us.
Or perhaps I’ve borrowed some naysayer blinkers just for this comment!
