I was watching the reading game earlier on and Ejaria was outstanding. Now I was a huge critic of Ejaria, he was timid, weak, ineffective and generally nowhere near the standard required to play for Rangers. It then got my thinking of Waghorn who again was murder but appears to be doing okay in the championship. What stops these players making it with us but then playing well in a better league? Are our standards too high? Is our league better than people think? do these players simple not try as hard playing in Scotland?

Both Players could not deal with pressure and expectation to perform to win every game. The expectation at Rangers and Celtic has found out many players in the past.

A mixture of all those things imo. But definitely huge pressure playing for us, can never make a mistake, never have one poor pass without the crowd wanting blood!

The English Championship isn't that good.

The quality of player in the english championship isn't great and neither is the standard of football. Its only competitive because every club is on a par with each other. How many players over the last few years have came to us from that league and been poor and then go back and do pretty well. Playing for us is completely different to playing with a derby or a reading. ðŸ‘.

game is very fast here. a lot of rushing into tackles etc. players don't get any time on ball and hve to be able to adapt to that and the pressure.

Really? I stand by it. there's some big clubs i. e Leeds, Nottingham Forest and a lot of money But in my opinion the league standard isn't great. Boys like waghorn apparently worth millions, bang average up here. Player of the year and league goldenboot, Pukki couldn't get a game for c*ltic.

Waghorn was good enough for us as main striker in championship but not when we got promoted. Think that will also be the case with Derby regardless of his valuation. The boy Ejaria was good enough for us under SG abut just could not settle in Scotland. He left for non football reasons and hopefully has now developed as a person.

The game up here relies too much on physicality rather than technique. Ejaria did not like the tough tackling.

I liked Ejaria but he wasn't up for the fight / thought he was a superstar.
