Ave always said Union Bears as we all know can control the songs. They have the ability to stop this but it doesn't seem to be in their agenda.

Dont get me wrong some songs are wrong but u can't ban everybody i was at old firm in may and to me 50k were all singing the billy boys its our greatest song which makes most atmosphere imo.

Paul86, Its a song built on hatred which some of our fans use against a group of fans sitting watching there own team. If that's our 'greatest song' then we should hang our heads in shame. Explain to me what, in 2019, rangers have to do with being enemies to catholics? what do Rangers have to do with the orange order or masons? Every rangers fan wears a sash? Every Rangers fan is a protestant?

😂😂 i just think its the song that gives off the most atmosphere. I am well aware what year it is i never mentioned the masons or OO? Why has the date got anything to do with this? These songs have been sung on terraces since day dot i guess. These songs that some folk don't like will never not be sung in the stands. Same as that lot over the city. Its passed down through generations it will not and cannot be stopped. Also its not just a rangers and celtic thing there's other clubs at it aswel.

Can we not just change a couple of words in the Billy Boys - -there are other teams who sing a 'version' of the same song. Maybe the flag at the other place means at least 1 word is OK as that didn't make much of the headlines!

It’s time to end these song of hate it’s an embarrassment the club is trying to move forward while those who sing these songs are holding us back the damage done to the disabled enclosure didn’t help us either why jump on the roof while our own fans are below for god sake let try and protect the name of the club you claim to love.

Can i say as a Catholic gers fan ( yes we do exist) i follow the team for the football and have for 36 years sinxe i was a teenager and the songs are vile and do no credit to the majority of Rangers fans u know. It has always sickened me that our club is tarred because of so much that is unrelated to football. Noone in their right mind would sit in the stand singing about supporting al quaeda so why do both sides of the divide spend their weekends supporting terrorism of whatever colour. I long for the day i can sit without listening to the vile hatred based on religion of either side.

Paul 86 I was at the Old Firm in May. I am a season ticket holder in Copland Road, have been more than half my life. My wife is a Catholic. I can 100% guarantee you I was not singing the Billy Boys.

I am in agreement with the majority here - had a season ticket most of my life and have never sung the billy boys.
