Moving onto the first league game this weekend, what are your thoughts for the score/ line up? This was our bogey team last season, and if we're serious about the title, we must be looking at a few goals and domination, I'm buzzing it's all kicking off again and can't wait!

Have to start Morelos. Think we looked far more dangerous when he came on as we had a presence up top and it helped create space for others. He has also scored a barrow load against this opposition .

it was prob the one place i wasnt sure about. I went for Jones basically because of where we were playing, used to pitch, something to prove etc etc.

Like i said last week, for me scotty arfield and steven davis if both fit will be and should be 2 guaranteed starters in our starting 11.

Barisic should never play for us again, he's hopeless and offers nothing on the left in terms of an attacking option, he's not even that great a defender being caught wrong side countless times this season already. My team would be

I'd like to see how productive Ojo is on the left, surely it's a no brainer for a naturally left footed player to play on the left and offer delivery, he took the corners from there against progres and was far better than Tav.
Yes, I've not included Goldson, that's purely because I feel he spends far too much time on the ball and slows our game down, surely Gerrard has noticed this, distribution has not been good enough.
It will be a tricky 1st game, I see Kimnarnock have narrowed and shortened their pitch for us lol, anything less than a win on Sunday will be disastrous.

McGregor still serving ban for McNulty incident. Was best man at my brother's wedding yesterday, so only caught glimpses of the game in Luxembourg. By all accounts we dominated but lacked cutting edge. This would probably sum up matches against Killie last season as well. As the manager said, we need to improve, but it's up to him to come up with the game plan to get the win. That includes selecting the right team, which for me means Morelos must start, simple as that. Anything other than 3 points is unthinkable, even if it is the first league game of the season.

If I have a worry it is although we have quick skilled players, to play at the pace we were for first 2 or 3 friendlies takes its toll.
It was the same last year we had 3 not so bad games then looked leggy for next couple and that's when we get caught out.
I think some of our players Arfield, Ojo, even Halliday look like they need a break already!

I think Defoe has a better understanding with Arfield and whoever's playing in the front 3. Morelos is a more successful poacher, but perhaps does not interact as well with a front 3.
With all our centre halfs I sometimes hope we are looking at a 3.5.2 with both Defoe and Morelos up front. IMO.
