Forget about Morelos story!

WHAT ABOUT THE FRICKEN COURT INJUNCTION ON NEXT YEARS KIT!

The board must give answers about this sorry mess!

Agree5 Disagree0

Get SD to make the strips next year and don't buy a single one from the fat rat.

31 Jul 2019 17:27:09
Agreed, this is all worrying now. A lot of fans seem to think the stories last week were a lot of rubbish but no smoke without fire as the saying goes. Apparently James Blair is to blame for this.

31 Jul 2019 17:33:02
This is a very serious situation for our club, regarding this kit selling and manufacturing situation. We as a club have now to pay that rat's company SD 450k in legal fees, within a fortnight. As if that's not bad enough, the full amount we will have to pay him in legal fees, will be decided at a later date in court.
Now hummel/ elite can't make our kits or sell our kits after this season,
which means we're very much in breach of our hummel contract, which was for 3 years. Hummel may also claim damages for us, for being roped into this and quite possibly misled,
in this whole affair. Most definitely heads should roll for this massive error which is catastrophic for our football club. Within our own board they have made a serious, very amateurish error and people have to be brought to task on this. Whatever we all think of that mike ashley character, doesn't hide the fact that people working for our club are to blame for this, which is astonishing! Where do we go from here i honestly don't know. We are in deep soapy bubbles, make no mistake about it. We will quite possibly be back to puma making our kits from next season, with SD being the retail partners and the only ones allowed to sell our replica kits. Heads must roll for this, as whoever is too blame for this has cost glasgow rangers a helluva lot of dough and made our club a laughing stock. What is the end game here fellow bears, any thoughts?

31 Jul 2019 18:01:28
I really don't know where the end game is tbh, there doesn't appear to be one where Ashley is concerned. Yes, Ashley is a fat w£&k, but how did our board and legal team think they could possibly beat him. We're stuck with him, and you're right, paying his legal fees, damages (amount still to be decided) and probably Hummel going to seek damages for breach of contract next season just makes our club like total amatures. This is deeply worrying and any fan that still thinks we'll be fine needs to take a look at where we're heading. And no, I'm not a Tim, just a very concerned gers fan. DK needs to come out and explain exactly what is going on.

31 Jul 2019 18:01:58
It would be amateurish if someone has made an error unintentionally. This feels like trying to purposely pull a fast one and being caught out. Unfortunately I don't see much transparency forthcoming.

31 Jul 2019 18:04:16
Maybe the board had a plan b for this situation by naming it the hummel training centre and we can still have hummel over the stadium its just the strips we can wear am have a slight feeling rangers themselfs will design a kit which could get under the skin of some clubs and we must have made plenty of cash from kit sales this year so hummel still get there money from that just my opinion.

31 Jul 2019 18:08:20
Am I the only one who thinks it is the elite side if the deal that has been squashed? I mean our deak with hunmel was 100% legit, so why would it be thrown out? I have read the injunction and it states elite/ hummel 3 times but doesn't say our deal with hummel is void. I have a feeling this will be settled when SD have received compensation.

31 Jul 2019 18:19:55
What I don’t understand is why a judge has imposed this injunction on Hummel? What does our dispute have to do with a manufacturer? Why have they been punished, is this not an argument about who sells and what money is earned?

Seriously what is going on here.

Morning Folks, I'm reading some posts here that anyone who is worried at present by this fiasco is a panty wetter, and that the current deal was for 7 Years etc?, who among us actually knows what was agreed. The dark side posted £17 Million from Kit Sales last year, while we post next to zero from ours, a real wake up call is needed now, not panic, just sound business sense. I agree that comparisons to football and family is ridiculous, but if we want to continue and see our Club in the future we must restructure now, and get rid of whoever was behind this shambles, and get a feasible and profit making business plan written.

So we can't use Hummel for next season.
Well is it not beyond the realms of possibility that we offer Hummel the year after next season.

01 Aug 2019 10:52:32
Hi lads, I agree that heads should roll, But what heads? . I am sure in my mind that the board pay good money to top lawyer's to go through everything with a fine tooth comb, and also give Rangers legal advice on these types of matters, we don't just go into these deals with our eyes closed. I also agree, that the fans need transparency regarding all this, and if it found that we have been given bad advice then we are the ones who should be seeking compensation.

And why did Ashley not come in sooner with his bid as agreed by another judge, why was there no time limit, Imo Ashley did this intentionally as he was frightened of losing the bid by coming in too low. I just feel there is a load of shenanigans going on here and it is not all down to one person.

01 Aug 2019 10:53:16
Can anyone enlighten me to how long this Ashley deal lasts I read somewhere we had a seven year contract originally we paid £3 mill to get out of that but how long does Ashley’s grip last.

01 Aug 2019 10:53:27
Rangers have taken out a contract with Hummel that has been deemed illegal. They now have to pay SD £450k and further more they will have to pay basically loss of earnings to SD for all the lost sales to Hummel. This will be several million. Then, Hummel will sue Rangers, also for the loss of earnings, again for millions. Rangers are in big trouble here because they have no choice but to pay. I can see administration coming sooner rather than later.
