I thought we were good all over the pitch today, and, I feel that Aribo could well turn out to be a terrific piece of business. Alfie was mentioned again some posts, if w e look at the first half, Jones put a great ball across the 6 yard line, no one there, 2nd half Ojo does the same, and Defoe nets with a great header, that makes Defoe the better option in my eyes folks.

Aribo and kamara both gems, credit mark allen and co. Candieas did himself no harm either. Agree about defoe, its so clear that he has played at the very top his entire career.

Guys I think there is room in the squad for both . I think both do things the other doesn’t . Defoe was a truly top player but I think in some games and formations he will struggle at his age to lead the line . I also think if we are to play 60 odd games this season it would be an awful lot to ask . I get Alfredo does himself no favours and to be honest does my nut in at times . I also believe however if he can stay fit and on the pitch he is the best striker in Scotland by some way .

Good post Cambiger and can't disagree with anything you stated there. Its a long hard season and there most definitely will be rotation within our quality squad,
throughout the season. There simply has to be. Like i said in a previous post, horses for courses in certain games.

The build up was completely different - Jones v Ojo crosses.
To say that because Defoe was there waiting for the cross and Morelos wasn’t means that Defoe is the better player - are you being serious?
There are completely different players - Defoe is a Fox in the box but does not give the defenders a tough time.
Morelos is a beast who is involved more and creates space for others but still scores a bucket full.

Loved gerrards comments yesterday about fighting for the jersey and hunting in packs, we've lacked that for years. Marseille couldn't cope with that yesterday.

Defoe has a better footballing brain Due to having more experience and playing a top level most off his Career, Where’s Morelos is a raw young talent Who can bully defenders and Score goals, If he stays another year at Rangers and calms his temper ( No good sitting in the Stand) Beats his goal tally for last season, He’ll be worth a fortune.

I like Defoe but he's 37? Not sure how many games he'll manage in a season. I'd be pleased but very surprised if defoe scores 30 goals this season.

Defoe is not going to score 30 goals. I will put money on that. 20? Perhaps.
Morelos works much harder, is stronger faster and I would even say hungrier than Defoe.
Defoe has a better finish, positioning and of course better temperament. He is not going to start every game in my opinion.
I keep saying it. If we get 20m then sell him and buy something with at least half that money. Otherwise he stays and we win some silverware as well as getting another run in Europe.
