I see that the rumour of us signing Skrtel have resurfaced. I personally hope they are true. If I look back to all the great successful teams we have had, we have always had a killer, G Robert's, Bomber Brown, N Cooper to name a few. Skrtel for me comes into that bracket and it's something our current team lacks imo.
I also think his experience esp in Europe will help our younger defenders.

we had a top class defender in Alves, with bags of experience, look how that turned out? Its a no from me.
