Read an article from charlie nicholas there regarding our loanee winger ryan kent. He stated that kent and former celtic loanee winger patrick roberts, are very similar in style. Nicholas rates kent highly and said he would be surprised if rangers managed to get him again, for next season. I must admit i agree to an extent with him, as kent and roberts have very similar attributes. But not being biased in the least here, i truly rate kent better than roberts and that will be proven in time.

SC11, I got a text from a friend who is a Celtic fan, over the years he’s been pretty dependable with various rumours, tips or predictions. He’s certain that Celtic are getting Kent for £7m - I joke you not.
My hope is that this is his agent playing games and hopefully negotiating with Rangers or that my mate is just at the wind up but he’s sure both parties are in discussions.

Nope, Kent loves Rangers and has said he finally feels settled at a club. Even if Liverpool and that mob agreed a fee, doubt Kent would agree to the move.

Hope to god he's at the madam and well wide of the mark regarding ryan kent Sir_Rock_Katic! I would be physically sick to the bottom of my stomach, to watch ryan kent playing in that hooped rag of a jersey! Honestly can't see that happening for the life of me, but in football you just never know!

Kent has been decent for us but nowhere near as good or influential as Arfield. He will never make it in the top flight of English football and never get into the Liverpool Squad. If Celtic want pay £7m then they are welcome to him. he is worth £3m in the Scottish league tops.
I doubt if he will be at Ibrox or Parkhead next year. We will soon see.

Mols, kent is a good winger in my eyes just now and has the potential to become a great winger. I can only see young kent getting better and better. So although i do admit that the rumoured transfer fee figure, of £5.5million is a bit steep, i really do think it would be money well spent in the long run! I reckon he would fetch us into the double figures in a transfer fee, a few years down the line. I actually think now that there is a good chance that we'll get kent now for next season. He gives our team another dimension and although not the finished article yet, i really do think he'll improve even more next season on his assists and scoring goals. I do however agree that scott arfield has been steven gerrard's best signing, since becoming our manager. Arfield has been immense for us!

You could well be right and only time will tell. If he can bring consistency and 10-15 goals a season to his game then he will have a good career. As with all players who play for the old firm, it’s not just about ability it’s having the character to do it in the big games consistently. Look at the boy Mcgregor at Celtic consistent and delivers all the time. I agree if Kent stays he will improve but we should only keep him at the right price. There are other equally talented front players out there.

So where is this transfer money coming from? Liverpool have already put a price of £12m on Kent so can't see any Scottish Team paying even close to that for a player like Kent. Serious question!

Hope, that's media speculation. Rumoured fee has dropped from £7mill to £5.5. All pure speculation of course but both parties (Kent and Rangers) would like the mOve made permanent so time will tell.
