Anyone else think Waghorn could come back and do a job for us. Big fan of the guys workrate and he's doing not to bad on the goal and assist tally. With our current system 1 up top and the form Arfield is in, in terms of chances made, I really think he would get goals.

Agree4 Disagree0

Not a chance! Derby paid 8million for him and he’s been scoring regularly for them.

Big game bottler for us
No thanks.

Is this a question to be taken seriously or a wind up? Waghorn and Garner simply weren't good enough. I'd like us to sell the hot head at a price suitable and search for a talented no.9. Maybe this Croatian being mentioned.

The thought of Waghorn playing for us again gives me nightmares. What an absolutely awful player. Don't care if Lampard reckoned he was £8m value and don't care how many he scores for Derby. Truly garbage.

Gerrard has already stated kfraser that he doesn't even know who maric the croatian striker is, never mind interested in signing him! So that's a no no mate.

07 May 2019 17:22:35
To be fair Waghorn was and is decent. He has scored goals all season in the championship and Frank paid 8 mil for him so I think that tells us all we need to know.

07 May 2019 18:23:56
Kfraser what makes you think some Croatian striker who nobody on here as actually seen play would be any better than Morelos are waghorn! Probably another grezda.

A wee question for you glasgowrangersgooner. I take it with your posting name your also a supporter of the arsenal mate? My late dad liked arsenal as his favourite english team, as rangers used to have a friendship with the arsenal and played them in friendlies decades ago now. It was a friendly at ibrox one year, then down at highbury the following year and so on. My dad used to go down to highbury for the games as well as attending the games against arsenal at ibrox. He made a good few friends that were arsenal fans, while he was down there and thus always liked the arsenal doing well. I don't mind arsenal but my favourite english team has always been newcastle utd. I didn't follow my dad that way.

Cooper he played against us in the Europa League so I'd take Gerrard's comment with a pinch of salt. 36th who'd heard of Waghorn or Morelos before signing for us? Grezda's Albanian. Anyway I said maybe, I know nothing of his stats other than he's rated in Croatia.

Supercoopereleven, yeah mate I’m a Gooner also but my first and most significant love will always be Rangers. There’s quite a strong arsenal and Rangers connection as you say. We as a club actually owned a token share in Arsenal. Despicably that was sold by Craig Whyte during his criminal tenure here.

Is there still a strong rangers/ arsenal connection at the moment mate? I can always remember the greatest ranger ever, john greig saying he was physically sick, when he realised that scumbag of a character craig whyte, sold our arsenal shares, that were given to us all these years ago, as a present for helping arsenal out financially,
by their manager at the time, herbet chapman, who was a personal friend of sir bill struth. That tramp whyte sold the shares to a rich gunner, for 250k, i believe. Greig actually stated that it was the worst thing he could have sold, in his opinion. The arsenal woolwich shares meant the world to our club and obviously to john greig. Probably more treasured than anything else in our world famous trophy room! John greig did say as much!

Well said coops, it was a dreadful act by a horrible individual. I've always had a soft spot for Arsenal.

There seems to be a decent Arsenal and Rangers joint following still. I'll tell you a lesser known fact that adds some weight to the link.

Arsenal legend Bob Wilson is a Rangers fan, with some considerable substance to his choice. His middle name "Primrose" comes from his great uncle John Ure Primrose, who was chairman of rangers from 1912-1923. He had previously served as a member of the Govan Polis Commission! and Lord Provist of Glasgow.

Bob is massively proud of this fact and is a huge Rangers fan to this day. As is his prerogative, he generally keeps this under his hat, but has no issue with it being known.

3 years ago at the FA cup final, Bob agreed to come as my guest to a future Old firm game but I reckoned he was just being polite and haven't followed it up. I was at his table along with Frank McLintock, Liam Brady, Charlie George and others and I'd been mistakenly introduced as a guest from Glasgow Rangers! I was happy to let that run until I eventually succumbed to telling the truth.

Anyway, just to finish here. Bob runs a charity called the Willow foundation, which gives special experiences to the terminally ill. He set it up following the passing of his daughter many years ago. Not sure if this is allowed on here, but if any of you are looking for a worthy cause for your next sponsored event or workplace charity, then please have a google at it.
