Now its crystal palace and southampton,
who are reportedly wanting to sign our star midfielder, scotty arfield. As far as i'm concerned its paramount we keep arfield, so stevie G can build a team around him. He's been superb for us in his first year with us.
Again its so easy to see that we're not the same team when arfield has been out injured.
He brings so much to the table for us, his non stop clever running and taking opposition players out of position, for others to benefit.
Not to mention him in the double figures for goals scored, which is a good return for a midfielder. He's currently the best at ibrox, of getting beyond our striker or strikers. Its glaringly obvious when arfield is out our team we aren't as good. We must keep him here,
unless we get offered crazy money, for him!
We all, rightly so go on about gerrard's best signings to date being either allan mcgregor or young ryan kent, but as far as i'm concerned scott arfield is on a par with both,
for that accolade!

Sc11 - completely agree. No point trying to challenge for anything if you don't keep your best players, unless we are being offered silly money.
Even if we are offered silly money how would we replace him? Who is out there that we could get for the money that these two clubs will be offering for his services?
SG will want to keep his best players and move on those that do not fit into the side, and hopefully those finances allow him to source a marquee CB.

SC 11 Allan McGregor was signed before Gerrard became manager.

Arfield saying in press conference this morning his family see settled and he's happy wearing the badge. Lads going nowhere.

Everyone has a price.

A player at his age who we got for heehaw. I think if we got offered 4M plus we will sell him. Decent money to be reinvested into team or to buy Kent. He wanted the family back up the road so wouldn’t necessarily be his preference.

Of course we could replace Arfield, I like him and hope we keep him but he's not irreplaceable.

Everyone does have their price, but the lad is as happy as he's ever been here, highly doubt the gaffer would entertain selling him, who knows, but will be a vital part of the team next season.

Don’t be surprised to see him signing a new contract within the next month, I believe these links are just part of the negotiations between his agent and the board. Arfield will still be a Rangers player next season.
